What made you choose the Dodgers over the Mets / Yanks?

The first part is easy. When I first noticed baseball (which was watch on TV every day our apartment during baseball season), I was five years old. The Mets did not exist.

My parents were Yankee fans and my older brother was a fan of the hated jints.

I chose the remaining team in New York City, the Brooklyn Dodgers, as my own, to be distinct from them.

Incredibly, the Dodgers won their very first World Series that year, confirming my choice.

You can see the banner from that year, which I photographed when it was on display at the Brooklyn Historical Society, below in my signature. 😀
