[Mini Project\VX]Tickle Mansion

Wow screamer. You said this is a mini game. But it's bigger than KP. Lots of music?

Also just curious but why is this RTP so massive? It's 3 MBs bigger than the game itself.

My best guess would be the pictures, given that screamer said it's kinda like a visual novel it's probably gonna include quite a few high quality pictures, really ramps up the filesize.

VX Ace is a mystery to me, so no idea about the RTP...I do wonder if our "translators" are even able to work with it, I think xtreme said he can't but he seems too busy right now anyway.

Is this what you're saying?
  1. Download your game and extract it somewhere. Let's call the folder TM.
  2. Download the RMVX RTP.
  3. Install it.
  4. Copy the Audio, Fonts, and Graphics folders from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS3\RPGVXAce or C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS3\RPGVXAce (for 64- or 32-bit systems respectively) into TM.
That's a lot of work, for the average user.

If what you're saying about copying is necessary, it's weird that Ace is too stupid find things in its RTP install path, since VX and XP didn't have that problem.

winrar is not free. 7-zip is. (Also, winrar's original author, Ron Dwight, died in 2002, and I'm not sure any meaningful changes happened to winrar since.)

Both support breaking files into multiple parts. If you make the parts 198MB, you can definitely fit it up there.

I know 4shared supports free downloading of files > 200MB, though I'm not sure what limits they may place on uploaders.
 
Unless I've somehow acquired the pro version without my own knowledge...I've used nothing but the free version of Winrar. In fact, opening up Winrar says that this is an evaluation version and it'll expire in 40 days, which is odd since I've had it on my computer for far longer than that.

Perhaps the difference lies in whether or not you're using right-click. Of course, I also have 7-Zip and Stuffit on my computer to help with an assortment of files, but I mostly use the right-click Extract/Archive options with Winrar (I can tell because the Winrar icon is next to the operation) rather than opening up Winrar itself and dragging/dropping/whatever files into it.
 
Took over 2 hours. But i downloaded it. It works fine and looks quite good. Thanks a lot as always screamer.

I understand where you're coming from but I think for anything less than a few gb in size we shouldn't bug screamer about reuploading elsewhere...

Since I don't dislike either of you (xD) you could also PM me and I'll give you access to my premium account for the download if you deem it necessary.

As for winrar it's shareware originally. It's one of the big mysteries in life why it just never ends/starts the trial and works. Been using it for free since ...Win 98 SE? Now because I'm so used to it I just don't like 7-zip, even though I've had to use it before for some weird compression formats.
 
Looks good. But as I said before I do not have the necessary programs to translate this game. Though if anyone else could find a way to translate it, that would be nice.

Plus i'm currently busy with Mass Effect 3

The best I could do here is type out a translation notepad since it IS just a visual novel. But it would be kind of awkward having to read that and play the novel. :/

Well it's either that or someone somehow making an English version.

I can relate to being busy with ME. 😀

Any translation is better than not being able to play at all if you ask me. But I'll try and find something for VX Ace too.
 
This one is normal VX, no Ace, isn't it?

Anyways, screamer, that would help a lot. If it comes in a logical sequence, putting the dialogs on the game would be piece of cake. The part that sucks is translating the words.
 
I found a bug. After making the choice for Neige to meet Suzuka in the office to surprise her at 5:00am and after saving, the screen goes black. Nothing happens.
 
Translated the intro (map 1). Working on map 2, too.

Found a bug where when loading from the save during the first conversation, the background fails to load.

Wooooooot! Very nice! Happy to hear you got started on translating this next masterpiece, even if you shouldn't do anymore after those two. I seem to remember you saying you're too busy to tackle projects by yourself.

The game's pretty small. I'm not necessarily going to finish the entire project alone, but I figured I'd get the ball rolling to show it can be done.

I'll start on map 3, since no one else claimed it.

EDIT: Maps 1,2,& 4 done. 3 only needs Himeji filled in. I think I may need to do map 9 to make sense of the rest of 3.

I found another blank screen RIGHT after that scene after the first blank screen.
You did make sure you fixed all the screens after the first blank one right?
