Odd questions thread

No, I am not. Last year, I congratulated myself on successfully installing a new toilet seat. (Two nuts and two bolts, any child could do it, and I was glad not to have to call the building superintendent.)

What is one hobby that you wish you had started years ago?
 
Watching hockey. I think it's the most underrated sport in this country.
What do you think of the clock in baseball?
 
I like the pitch clock. There were some pitchers who really wasted time.

Did you ever play hockey? Or want to?
 
I'm not a great skater so I'd rather watch hockey than play it.
Is a goal in hockey or soccer more exciting?
 
To me, a goal in soccer is more exciting, perhaps because they are so rare.

What was your best sport in high school?
 
I was good at running (surprise). My gym teacher wanted me to join the running team but I couldn't because I was already in band and my mom didn't want me to do too many extracurricular activities and do bad in my classes.
What was your worst class in high school?
 
Biology because I was too clumsy to do the dissections well in the lab portion of the course.

What was your favorite class in high school?
 
Math because I was good at it and I liked my teacher.
What was the hardest class you ever took?
 
A course in Algebraic K-Theory from the man who invented it, Daniel G. Quillen. (He got a Fields Medal for this about four years later, in 1978. There is no Nobel Prize in mathematics and the Fields Medal is the closest thing to it for mathematicians.)
I wish that I could say that I remember what I learned it that course.

What course in high school or college taught you nothing at all?
 
"History of the Hudson Valley" in college. It was useless and there was this older teacher who hit on the cute girls in that class.
What's one teacher you'll never forget you had?
 
His name was Robert Lynch. He was the best math teacher that I had in high school and he was really inspirational.

Who was the woman teacher in high school or college who most inspired lust in you?
 
Well I'll say 2. One was my 6th grade teacher who was 26 at the time and fairly tall, thin, tan, long brown hair. I actually found her on facebook the last year or so and she looks really good still as she is now close to 60. The 2nd one was my health class teacher in high school. She had a similar look.
What's the best pizza topping?
 
If eating at the ballpark counts, then it will be tonight.

What is your favorite place to eat out within ten miles of your house?
 
cleaning the toilet bowl (which is why I have a monthly cleaning service)

What is one household chore that you don't mind doing?
 
Did you forget to ask a question? Yes.
Will you eat pizza this week?
 
I might eat pizza in Baltimore, not sure what we will eat.

When will you next have ice cream?
 
Saturday like usual.
When's the last time you went to the doctor for a checkup?
 
February of this year.

How often do you go to the dentist for a checkup?
 
Every 6 months (February and August so my next appointment is in a couple of weeks yay).
What's one item you own that you have been meaning to throw out for years?
