Reflections of 2007 NEST in pictures

Some have written me about my experiences and wanted to know more. Please understand that I am not able to divulge all because of privacy issues and NEST rules.
I can say that I really do wish I had been at SchoolGirl Lisa's wedding. Minerva can't attend this year so we won't be able to see her tickle Venray. A few I would like to meet are Robace, who has to stay home and look after his two young girls.....Fatima, who can't make it because of work......and Helena who has had a series of unfortunate events. These people will be sorely missed.

:2poke:Tickles to you, my dear.:2poke:
I have enjoyed this thread very much.

I also wish Embraceabl, Isabeau, and RChello(I hear) make it this year. I would also like the chance to meet Jaba.

When we got to the club, kered found a spot at the bar that suited him just fine.😛

I seem to remember You had a little trouble navigating Philly yourself, Buggy.

Traffic was heavy that day,but taking inspration from George Washington kered found a way to get to the club.😛

Now NEST 2008 is now over. I hope my attempt at humor in pictures helped those who were new to relax and enjoy the weekend. For those of you who had doubts about attending this year, just ask someone who was new what their impressions were. I won't suggest the questions to ask as you all have your own. I'm sure they will answer you honestly.

I wish to thank Myriads for his input many months ago about my starting this thread. Things are much easier when you have guidelines.

Kudos to LeeAlure and Amanda, as well as those others behind the scene that made this a successful event.

A special mention should go out to Pokey for the numerous trips to the airport, train, and bus stations to get our fellow members safely to the hotel and I suspect all on his own dime. He's a good man and I hope you get to meet him at least once in your lifetime.

Lastly I want to address the notion of being in a "clique" to attend this event. We collectively are a "clique" of over 70,000 people but only a mere 105 members of this "clique" showed up. One third of the people were newbies. So if you are a TMF member then you are considered part of the "In Crowd". No one person is excluded. Got it?

Thanks again to you all and I hope we can set a new attendance record next year!

Please allow me to support what Kered says here, with the exception of that stuff bout me. NEST was kind enough to help with the fuel costs, but I promise, the time I spent with the folks I was priviledged to pick up was priceless. I am just sorry I didn't know about Rui from Portugal, who was blindsided by our Taxi's finest.

As for the "clique"? If being allowed to attend an event with all these people, and have them laugh, talk, care, and often share their personal lives with me, then I wish I could find a few more clique's like that. Please come and say hello, chances are you will forever be glad you did.:wavingguy

Thanks Kered, this was an exceptional thread!!

Well I thought the Minera only was a lee, not a ler so I don't know why she would WANT to tickle Venray. Anyhow, I know SchoolGirl Lisa and her husband Kevin. They're great people. NEST 2006 and NEST 2007 were both great and so was this year's as well. Hopefully Jan will be able to make it to NEST 2009.

I agree with Pokey. Great thread! Glad I wasn't spoken about. I like to be the shy one of the group. Excellent story!

I bumped this Timeless Classic Thread for benefit of the Newbies to give them some idea of what to expect.
