As I was just explaining to a requestee though, its all about personal free time...its actually depressing sometimes. Not being able to draw as much as I want to. So many ideas and so little time....

Those pictures of yours are nice but they depress me, because to me they represent something I don't have time for even as simple and oekaki-ish as they are. I barely have enough time to draw what I want to draw, let alone working together with someone else... 🙁

thats ok buddy 🙁 i am there 4 u *huggle* ^_^

someday u wil recongize da powr of da whiteboard+paintchat

*huggle* 🙁 Seriously. I'm not joking. Sometimes I exagerate it, but it really is a problem these days.

hikaru shidou would help you out with your time problems wai wai 🙁

What are whiteboard and paintchat, Oriy?
Sometimes the most fun can be had sharing a picture with someone.

whiteboard is like a shared drawing board where many people can draw on it at the same time and just doodle random crap, and there is a chatting feature down below, too

and you pretty much see how people are drawing things, at least in the digital way

you can see an example of one http://www.groupboard.com/mp/board.cgi?board_id=24449&large=true&adverts=false
or http://cgshrines.rydia.net/groupboard/groupboard_1_1024.html is the basic version

the netmeeting program that usually comes preinstalled on prebuilt machines includes a whiteboard

paintchat is pretty much the same, but includes more extensive tools and palette control and unfortunately i cannot find a working example of one

Oh, I've heard of that before. Now I know what you're talking about. I've used similar programs like that. I think yahoo and AIM had one at one time also.

Yahoo has one but it's not terribly good. It is too small I think. AIM as far as I know (and I use it constantly) has nothing like that.
Thanks for the linkage, Oriy, will check it out!

Yeah. When I used the yahoo one it was well over 2 and a half years ago.

OK, who is Love Hina? All I know is that she's popular among us tickle lovers, and she gets a lot of hot pics on Google Images. (18,100 to be exact😀). So, can someone fill me in please? :umm:

@ Death by tickle- It depends on who you're talking about. If you mean me, then yes, I cannot get enough. Others though I wouldn't know. 😀

@ Hungarian2-

Love Hina isn't a who, its a what. And what it is is an anime series (I'm sure you can tell that by the pictures you saw). Thats the name of the show and manga (comic).

The story is a romantic comedy which is about childhood promises and reunions and friendships. The main character is Keitaro Urashima, and he's trying to get into Tokyo University to keep a promise to a little girl he made a promise to when he was a little boy. The promise was that they would get into Toyko U together and live happily ever after.

Fast forwarding to the present situation, Keitaro has failed his college entrance exams for the second time and as a result his parents kick him out of the house and make him get a job. He decides to go to his Grandma Hina's lodge which he used to visit all the time as a kid, which he doesn't know is now an all-girls dormitory. Through a twist of fate and his Grandma's wishes, Keitaro inherits managership of the the now Hinata Appartments (refered in the manga as Hinata Sou).

Keitaro lives with the girls at the appartments while studying for the Tokyo U exams again, all while being the manager of this dorm. At first the girls don't like him or accept him but they eventually learn to appricate, adapt, and grow to like and respect him. Students and underclassmen themselves, they often go to him for advice and look up to him, though they liked to tease him about his study habits and grades, which are poor at first.

However, he often finds himself in perverted situations, often accidentally catching a peek of them while they're bathing in the hotsprings (and other mishaps occur where he ends up seeing cleavage, panties, cops a feel by accident, sees full body nudity etc.) and gets beaten up by the girls alot.

Keitaro however remains steadfast and driven to keep his promise to this little girl whose name and face he can't remember in any real detail. He works towards this goal as he estalishes friendships and bonds with the Hinata residents.

Thats about as much as one could tell you without getting into too much detail.

Wasn't it a manga that was adapted to be an anime series? That's what I'd say it is, a manga, rather than an anime series as the anime was more or less junk. I wouldnt want someone to see the anime and be so disapointed that they don't read the rather excellent manga.

Yes it was a manga first. When I said anime series (that includes manga and any other attachments it may have) I should have been more specific as to say manga first, which obviously is far more important and detailed than the anime. Anyone remotely interested should read the manga and watch the anime at any rate.

Well I havn't read the manga but I have seen the series, and actually I wasn't disappointed at all like Ness said. I'd got out and buy a couple volumes but I don't have any money 😛

Thanx a lot, you revealled a great mistery for me. 😉

lol I imagine I was only disapointed in the anime because the manga was so many lightears better. Having nothing to compare it to I probably wouldn't have minded the anime much...but it's not good enough to inspire someone to read the books I think, which is unfortunate. 😛

i was disappointed because it was like tenchi muyo ho ho ho harem anime

Well, I am interested in reading it, but probably the only way that will happen is if I borrow them from a friend who might happen to have it or download it off the internet, which is illegal. 😛

When I was abouit halfway through the series I did try downloading it as the books were adding up to a large expense ($140 for the set). As far as I was able to tell there isn't any such thing available though I know a few more sources now than I did then.
My solution was to read a few of the books in the store so that I could continue reading but purchase the books as I could afford them. Now I've read it but my collection is missing several volumes. That's okay though. If you've got a big bookstore near you then try it. Most of them have nice places you can sit and read and a manga only takes a few hours to complete (more or less, depending on how wordy it is).

Or you could order them online for much less, in either a bundle pack or boxset. Like with anime or anything really, cost goes up when you buy volume for volume. Its actually less expensive and you save some money by buying it all at once in a lump sum.

Ive seen a few sites that sell mangas (linked to by HDS) and they were only a dollar or so less than a bookstore. With shipping added you didn't save much of anything. Maybe you could find a good deal buying the whole set at once but then you're laying out over $100 all at once which is a lot to ask for most folks.
