Ron's ultimate payback to hermione!

granted, he broke no rules. It's just that, personally, i find it an insult when someone takes copywrited material and puts a sexual spin on it. Imagine if you were J.K. Rowling. How would u feel if u found out that something you've been working on for about 15 years was being taken by fans and turned into something of a sexual nature. Personally, i'd be outright insulted.

I have a tough time having sympathy for a woman who ripped off her concept from Neil Gaiman and B-Movies (see the first trade paperback of "The Books of Magic" and the ABYSMAL movie "The Worst Witch Ever"). Also, I have no sympathy for a woman who started out wanting to get kids away from video games and the tv only to option the property out for movies, video games, etc. Meh.

that title was simply "The Worst Witch", and granted, the concepts are very similar, however The Worst Witch was about an all-girl school. All witches, no wizards (with the exception of Tim Curry at the very end). And using the term "ripped off" is a strong accusation. There's a difference between ripping something off and being INSPIRED by sumthing or homaging something. One could insist that George Lucas is a rippoff artist simply because he used thematic devices from both the writings of Joseph Cambell, whom he studied under, and films he grew up watching as a kid, specifically Flash Gordon and the Kurosawa film "Hidden Fortress". Now if Lucas wanted to RIP OFF Flash Gordon, he'd have said "ok, instead of Flash Gordon, my hero will be Dim Newton", or for Hidden Fortress "ok, this story will take place on a planet that looks EXACTLY like fuedal Japan." Back to Rowling. For the record, Rowling claims that her original inspiration for Harry Potter came from when she was riding a train in 1991, i think, and she looked out the window and got an image in her head about a boy in glasses riding on a broomstick. I think she pretty much took it from there. One can insist that she "ripped off" other works all they want, but those are usually people who refuse to believe in the phenomena known as "cooincidences".

As for my link not working, i wonder why the hell it's working for some people and not for others??? 😕

Oh, I'm aware that coincidences exist, but have a look at the graphic novel and you'll see that the "coincidences" are a bit too strong to ignore.

look...there will be stories like other stories out there...people have been doing it for years, but really its the characters that matter, the story lines can be coinciding but generally how the characters respond and TRY to CHANGE the situation is waht sets them apart!

you know heckle look at it this way, the more people commenting on your story, the more readers you get. something good can always come no matter what the posts. be it praise or criticism, the fact that people keep responding is drawing attention to your story

The above link details the controversy that I am referring to. The reason that there wasn't a law suit is that Warner Brothers bought the rights to the Books of Magic shortly after the similarities came to light. This was the fist link I clicked on when I searched, so there may be a few more that detail it in greater depth. But anyhow, curious to say the least.

no i meant that as a personal oppinion did she steal those ideas, is that why you found it curious? if you dont get it its ok, im sometimes less accurate describing questions, most of the people i know dont know what the hell i talk about, lol

Well...

You know, it was pretty good and all but some points:
1. They wouldn't be at Hogwarts (Were they)
2. I cant think of Hermione like that, cuzz I always think of emma watson and then I cant think about her boobs and so on, but besides that it was good, a little short tho
:evilha:
