songs from the 70s

Indeed it was Philly Soul. Recorded at Sigma and produced by Thom Bell. Great tune too BTW.

Thanks, I wasn't sure.... I thought it had to be on Gamble And Huff's label to be canonically considered "Philly Soul", but if Thom Bell produced it, that is good enough for me!

Here's my favorite song by the Spinners:

Allen Toussaint: What Do You Want The Girl To Do

Allen Toussaint: Southern Nights

I saw the Pousette-Dart Band in a bar in Colorado Springs in 1978. The Blue Walrus was the bar name, or something like that.

Song by Aliotta, Haynes and Jeremiah. Lake Shore Drive. The only station I have ever heard this song is 97.1 out of Chicago.

Ace. How Long.

Guess Who. Clap For the Wolfman. That is it until my next visit. I could post in this thread for hours. But bedtime is near. :peace:

Don McLean.

Arlo Guthrie.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Ten Years After
seems the lyrics resonate so much with today......
