songs from the 70s

I was wondering when the Floyd would make an appearance here. But we can't leave these out.

I could spend all day on Floyd lol

Supertramp - School

If I lived in the states, I'd be full tilt boogie for the 2nd Amendment. I like to be able to hunt and protect the one's I love and myself as well, if it comes to that.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back My Bullets

STYX - Lorelei

Styx - Mademoiselle

Styx - Light Up {join a silly celebration}

The Band - The Weight

Buzzer "BUZZZZZ" "The Weight" is 1968 and the album cover that's on the video is from 1969.

Here's some 70's Band.......Rick Danko, RIP:

The Band: It Makes No Difference

Linda Rodstadt.

Ah Bugman, Linda's arrangement of "You're No Good" is one of my favorite all-time covers! Almost posted it myself in that covers thread. It's cool to see her do it live on Wolfman Jack's, thanks! The record is so well-done, though, I have to put it here.....the sound of FM radio! lol

Glad you enjoyed that video. I just stumbled across it.

Joe Walsh.

Joe Walsh.

One of my favorites, so underrated. I gotta add one Joe nugget.

From "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get".....the greatest use of a flange ever, the end of the song, you literally feel like you're underwater....

Joe Walsh: Days Gone By

and how about some Crimson!!! Some crazy Fripp! Another great guitarist!

King Crimson: Fracture

Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks Joe is terribly underrated. He hails from Wichita Kansas you know. One of the few good things to come out of that wasteland of a state. Well, next to me. 😛

There I go again, this time I took it down though.

Don't feel like the lone ranger, I've done that a couple of times.

^Thanks Bugman, I appreciate that and I promise not to lose any sleep over it lol

Stealers Wheel - Star

Stealers Wheel. Now there's a band that never seemed to get much air play except for Stuck in the Middle with You. Where I lived at least. That's a catchy little song, never heard it before.

"Clap for the Wolfman".... great one, and a great homage to the Wolfman Jack. I remember listening to him, when I could pull the signal in.

Gerry Rafferty was from Paisley, Scotland, that's the main reason I know anything about Stealers Wheel, plus my family were big fans and have all his albums. He had suffered from alcoholism and depression for decades and died from liver failure in 2011.

Oh yeah. One of the cool things about the 60s and 70s was driving around at night, and finding distant AM stations on the car radio. I did that all the time. Never knew what you might hear.

Gerry was one of the great guitarists of his time. Love his music. RIP Gerry. 🙁
