okay... i hate to write this, i know I'm going to get a lot of flack for what I'm about to say but what must be said must be said. a opinion unvoiced is an opinion unaddressed, if i don't say anything there is no way you'll know how i feel, weather or not you care that's up to you.
so where do i begin? well lets start off with a general summarization of everything, it might be blunt but i think its how i will start this time. starting with the main cast, most of them are slightly bland and slightly uninteresting, they have aspects that i like but for the most part they're just your normal every day oddballs. in fact i think the one I'd like to know more about is the one least touched upon. Dora is the most bland, an uninteresting character here, she is kind and nice, but that's just about it. Priella is, well she's different, that's all there is to her its almost as if her entire character revolves around the idea that she's different. Sarah is the most interesting one, as she is the one i can assume least about and is probably the one most of us would likely be like in this situation. her anger/attitude is entirely justified, but she's mainly just pushed aside as a side character for the most part. hell itself is sooo far from what i would think it would be like, the biggest problem is its almost as if this hell isn't actually what you think hell would be like, but more so how you made hell to be like so it would fit your story. lastly Diablo is... -sigh- ill get to Diablo later. overall its interesting mainly because its located in hell but the story line has a bit of a blatant (i think i spelled that wrong) ideal and nothing else.
starting again with the main cast:
Dora like i said is bland and uninteresting, there really isn't much to her. she got unlucky enough to be sent to hell and her role is to be the resident optimist. even though she has almost no reason to be optimistic that doesn't stop this one track minded character. she's very straight forward this can be a good thing but i just don't like it. the main character is basically a Merry sue. she has almost no downside to her, maybe a bit of lust (as seen with her ogling Diablo) but that was more so for comic relief than character development. in fact her character very little developed. now i know that a librarian would obviously be the source of excitement in this story but even for what she is she's kinda bland. honestly a decent idea for the way she should be (now realize a lot of this is opinion so yeah) is she probably should have started out very timid and shy (even in hell) being more so frozen by fear then anything else, she would then have been forced to come out of her shell to defend herself and her new found friends. but no, she's just kind that's really all there is to her...
Priella again is a bit straight forward. though more interesting then Dora by FAR, she still really only has one purpose upon the plot, being the oddball of hell. being as she likes a "exotic" form of torture (don't get me started on tickling being torture...) and as such is chastised for it. so much so that hell seemingly has nothing better to do then to show there dislike for her, cause you know they are not supposed to be torturing people right? she has a pretty solid motive, she wants to convince the rest of hell that her methods though unorthodox are efficient. the problem is, is that her entire ideal is based around this, and nothing else, its almost as if her personality is just to be different as i said earlier. honestly i don't even think its Priella's fault here, i think the character itself is actually not to bad and the actual reason she seems so bland is because hell itself is bland. the entirety of hell has a very black and white feel to it, with no real deviation to good and evil, being good and/or evil is not a state but a degree this is not the case in this hell. everyone here is either good, evil or both good and evil depending on the situation. im going to try and not get to far into hell here but just keep in mind just because hell is supposed to be the ultimate source of evil doesn't mean that they are fully evil in every seance of the word. and lastly GOD DAMN IT PRIELLA GROW SOME TOES! >.< XD
Sarah is actually the most interesting and the one i have least to say about, she actually seems more like the realistic one here, her feelings and ideals fit the situation fairly perfectly. the problem with her is the lack of attention she gets. she ends up going from the most interesting character to the least touched uppon character. its a real shame to, she actually seems like she could have been a less black and white character and probably would have spiced things up a bit.
Diablo... im going to say it outright, I hate this diablo... i hate almost everything about him. you ever hear the ideal that diablo appears as who you least expect, well i think you probably nailed that one because there is no way in HELL i would ever have thought that diablo would look like a los vegas magician... alright, well the way he looks really isnt what matters in fact he could actually pull off that look if his personality is right so how dose that fair... well... lets just say im not taking back what i said. i think my biggest problem with diablo here is the fact that at best he's little more then an obstical to overcome, and at worst he's little more then a whiney little bitch... i mean come on he's surrounded by torture day in and day out screaming torture. oh but laughter is the bane of his ears. scratch nails across a black board, blow an air horn in his ear just PLEASE NO LAUGHTER anything but laughter... in addition to this he really dosnt seem like he commands the respect that he should, even being evil he should be able to look at a demon and make them bow without even doing anything else. he barely seems like he can order around someone who WANTS TO DO WHAT HE'S ASKING. why is this guy the leader of hell again? -sigh- i duknow he's like everything but what i would think diablo would and or could be like. i mean even if diablo is the root of all evil that dosnt mean he cant be swave and/or charismatic, in fact he honestly should be a very intelgent leader who is always looking for the next best way to run hell. he should be able to see posobility in everything not just shoo it away because its not fitting into the box, he wouldnt even have a box he would realise that everyone has a unique fear and if that fear is tickling then bring on the feather dusters!
next is hell itself and all the side cast. starting off the side cast is almost non existant and in fact usually just brushed asside after their use is fullfilled. for instance i was actually told that, that demon i was joking about was a high ranking demon, well what kind of high ranking demon, what dose he do, how dose he do it, what is he like? do we find this out? hell no the guy might as well have been named plot convinience because he really didnt do anything else then move the plot along... the random demons around hell are interesting though im not to fond of how they look, there really isnt any structure to them, where as the sucubi are all similar in their own right, the random demons are so different from one another that its really hard to tell they are all demons... but its a distinct style not nessisarily what i would like to see but its there and its ok. hell itself is again far from what i think it would be, its chaotic and unmanaged. honestly hell should be a well oiled machine a business if you will. the lower down minions would probably end up being very impulsive but there would be "cops" of some sort to regulate everything to make sure hell was running how it should. this next problem i have is probably one of my bigger ones. pain, look we all know that pain is a decent torture we all know that pain is probably one of the most common tortures. however most of us know that pain is not the most effective torture, in fact more effective tortures deal with torturing the mind and not the body. pain goes away, woonds heal, scars of the mind stay and rot long after the torture is finished. the idea that i know this and hell dosnt is just perposterous in every sence of the word. honestly the torture should be ever vareing, hell should be versatile because our fears are versatile. though i realise the reason why its so one track minded in this sence, it just dosnt fit hell imo. like i said this hell dosnt even seem like your idea of hell, it seems like it was a hell you created to fit the story line. it dose what it came to do but unfortunatly i just dont think that what it came to do was what it should have came to do.
so now that we've explored the general story what about the other aspect, the tickling... well... its lacking, out of 27 page comic based on tickling there is alot of IMPLIED TICKLING but what is shown is kind of little. its there and when it comes up its great (though again this is another area that isnt for me, for im into feet tickling and i think theres only like one place that the feet are tickled specifically) but it just feels like there isnt enough of it.
over all, is it horible? no its good, it has its flaws but most of them are my openion there are plenty of people who like it and though alot of it kind of feels like its entire purpose was to be something i didnt like its not bad it dose what it came to do and is still an interesting story despite its defects. i have my problems with it and i have said them, i really really hope that what i have said dose not sound offensive. it probably did and i appologise greatly for it. i really really hope i didnt hurt anyones feelings/ piss anyone off, but knowing my luck im pretty sure i did. i hope that after this you dont hate me but i understand if you do. and though i probably left out quite a few things i think i got across the main points.
and lastly i think it obvious that this entire comic would be VASTLY improved with the addition of a demon named avaria. after that this comic would be perfect. XD jk
keep up the good work but realise that nothing is perfect.
