I still can't believe Tampa had an 8 run lead on Tuesday and were hitting Randy Johnson well and they ended up blowing the lead and losing 11-20. How the f*ck do you blow an 8 run lead?:ranty:

Well, I was watching that game and well Tampa's bullpen could make guys feel like Hall of Fame players. :disgust:

The Chicago Cubs once blew an 8 run lead in a World Series game. 😱 It was against the Philadelphia Athletics [now playing in Oakland] back in 1929. 😛

In regular season play, back in 1925, the Cleveland Indians once had a 12-run lead, 15-3 after 6.5 innings, and they lost the game 17-15, with the home team not even having to bat in the bottom of the 9th, having scored 1 run in the 7th and 13 runs in the 8th. 😱

Ther ius a life size cardboard cut out of Johnny Damon in the computer room here now and keeping in this room proved to be good luck today😎

Once it was moved from the living room to here., Damon stopped popping out and hit a triple😛

I won't know the Dodgers final score until I get up tomorrow morning.

Many weird bseball superstitions in my house today led to the Red Sox scoring runs😀

I don't have too many superstitions. 😀 I do curse a lot when things are going badly for the Dodgers. :Grrr:

The Phillies have only scored 1 run against the Red Sox so far in the series😱

Another decent pitching performance wasted, another low scoring loss. Curse, curse, curse. :Grrr:   :Grrr:

The Braves are playing really well right now. They completed the sweep of the Orioles today, raising their record to 41-34. John Smoltz pitched a complete game, allowing only one run, to raise his record to 8-5. Right now, he is pitching lights out. As I've mentioned, I will be going to see them on Friday night in Philadelphia, and, providing there are no rainouts, or injuries, Smoltz should be pitching that game, assuming he stays on his usual every 5th day schedule. I hope they win when I'm there that night, to break their 2 year losing streak when I've gone to the game. Iam very pleased with the way they've been playing lately, firmly entrenched in 2nd place, scoring runs, and getting fine pitching. Hopefully it wont be long before they get into first place. Go Braves!

Mitch

Two of the necessary sweeps have been completed today, one more and it will once again be perfect baseball results. :bouncybou

The Dodgers haven't gotten much offense of any kind lately. 🙁

Well, we got our two big guns back in Wood and Prior, and Prior looked really good against the White Sox the other day, and our rotation is back at full strength now, which is not good news for the NL

It's good to see that you haven't lost your optimism, NT. 😀

But I still predict the Cardinals to win the NL Central, as I did in March.

Well, you have that right, my friend. However, I would like to add, that there is still 88 games left, with 14 head to head matchups, the fact the Cardinals still have to travel out West, which isn't easy, (even though the Cubs did go 6-1 in that trip), 8.5 games behind isn't that much.
