The Chicago White Sox are right now laying waste to the Cleveland Indians 10-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning. 😱

A final score from Comiskey Park in Chicago the White Sox 10 - Indians 4. After the almost 3 hour rain delay, the White Sox received 2 walks and a sac fly to make the score 4-3 White Sox. Then Jim Thome hit a Homerun that landed in Wrigley Field. 😀 That gave the Sox a 6-3 lead that they would never relinquish. Bad news for the Tribe C.C Sabathia left this game in the 3rd inning with a strained abdominal muscle. He did not factor in the decision. Final from Chicago: White Sox 10 - Indians 4.

The Dodgers' home opener begins in just over an hour. 😀

Since they used to be the BROOKLYN Dodgers and are now in one of my other fav. places I will cheer them on! I don't get the game in NY (I dont think). I will keep checking FoxSports.com though!

Although we don't usually get Dodger telecasts here in NY, this game will be on ESPN. 😀

If I wasn't sick I'd go to Hooters and watch 🙂 I love going to Hooters to watch sports! so many..... well, Hooters!

Well a great day of baseball. Right now, the Dodgers are in the 8th inning trying to come from behind as they trail the Braves 11-7 with two men on and two men out. The Dodgers have now made it 11-8 with an RBI double and they send the tying run to plate. In other games around the majors today, the Cardinals whacked the Phillies 13-5. The Cubs bombed the Reds 16-7. Big concern here is Carlos Zambrano was handed a 5-0 lead and left the game after 4 plus innings piched with the game tied at 5. If the Cubs hand their ace a 5 run lead he must do a better job. The Brewers beat the Pirates 5-2. The Mets gave Tom Glavine his 276 career win with a 3-2 victory over the Nationals. Arizona and the Rockies are in the 11th inning tied at 2.

In the American League, The Red Sox behind a 3 run homer by David Ortiz gave the Rangers a headache in Texas 7-3. The Orioles outlasted the the Devil Rays 9-6. The Tigers behind great pitching by lefty Kenny Rogers and Chris Shelton's two homeruns beat the Royals 3-1. For Rogers that is his 191 career victory. In games that are still going Angels and Mariners are knotted at 3 in the 7th inning.

Jeremy Bonderman and the Tigers beat KC today 14-3 and Bonderman was especially sharp. The Tigers with an offense, wow. Kenny Rogers may be rubbing off.

My Braves have started out 3-4, disappointing, but now they begin a homestand for a week. Hopefully, they can turn it around.

On that same thought, I hope that Chipper Jones is okay. I saw that play where he slipped trying to field that slow grounder. I was watch FSN Bay Area and they seemed very upset as well that Chipper got hurt like that. It is good that people other than Braves fans and myself root on a classy guy like Chipper Jones. To me, he is a terrific player and a class act. I have enjoyed watching his career despite the fact he has made a career out of killing the Mets. Speaking of classy. Mitchell thank you for the compliment in the other thread where I have been wrapping up the games. that was really cool of you. And yes, I have, in fact, considered being a broadcaster.

The Dodgers beat the Pirates today, 8-3, as Odalis Perez pitched well. 😀

Damn, what a SWEET game for Orioles fans tonight. 2 outs, bottom of the 9th, 3-2 count, bases loaded for NY... O's closer Chris Ray vs. the clutch Hideki Matsui. Ray fires... and absolutely FREEZES Matsui with a 3-2 slider. Orioles win, 6-5 in the Bronx. Now, I know my O's still have a ways to go before being a contender again, but damn that was sweet. Chris Ray looks like he's going to be an absolute stud as a closer. Amazing, since he's never even pitched above AA. His stuff is absolutely nasty. He and outfielder Nick Markakis are two youngsters to watch on this team.

Tonight's game in Washington between the Nationals and the Braves was postponed because of rain.

About the Cubs/White Sox brawl yesterday

Get this...Michael Barrett was being interviewed on one of the Chicago sports talk stations yesterday morning, and they played a clip last night of what he said. Something to the effect of "I dont know what we need to do to turn this around. Stir something up, start a fight, play harder, etc" Funny thing is, if the fight fired anyone up, it was the White Sox. 😛

Today the Braves beat the Cubs 2-1. They remain 3 1-2 games behind the Mets in the NL East.

Mitch

The Cubs have lost something like 25 of their last 27 games, got swept by the awful Marlins, got swept for the season by the mediocre Padres, and are 9.5 games out of even the wild card race. And saturday I think it was, Wrigley Field drew its biggest crowd since 1979!! This is exactly why the Cubs may very well never win another World Series or even get in one period. If they have awful teams and still sell-out, there's no incentive for the Cubs' owners to build a winner.

And as far as Barry Bonds goes, he said one time something to the effect of "stop talking about Babe Ruth. I'm gonna pass him up, he's old news." Barry Bonds would need steroids just to carry the Babe's jock strap, or Hank Aaron's for that matter.

Barry Bonds,

his 715 bogus home runs, and

whoever is stupid enough to think he's anything special.

The Dodgers beat the Braves today, 12-5. 😀 😀
I hate The Evil One, aka Barry Bonds.

Now here is an old Thread I dug up straight from the dugout

after everything is said and done you know the yankees are the only one and there's no other..... GO GO GO Yankees of 2009

The Dodgers are traitors ever since they left Brooklyn. NYC has all the winners
