That was sooo cool! I adore the gothic look, the feather treatment on the bottoms of the feet and the fact that the villain looks like V from V For Vendetta 😀 thumbs up!
I didn't really think about V until after I'd designed the mask. I debated making it metal or porcelin (which I chose in the end). Thanks for the compliments on the comic. n_n;;

Yo...I see all this praise and all that, so I thought it would be something I should lend.
I think your art style is a lot more crisp and refined. The characters have more detail, though there is probably still room for improvement. It's what you work towards as an artist...to get better with each outing. I like your progress though...you are getting better. What I like is the coloration best probably, given that they are solidly used and there are some very distinct contrasts between people and objects. Would be interesting to see a impart a grainer feel to the color palette you are using.

I like it all in all, though it leaves me with a sense of having more questions than answers. Kinda like...just thrown in the middle of the field and not given a backdrop. That's good though. I like that kinda story telling.

Well, it's good to hear that just starting sorta in the middle of things worked for the storytelling method. And that my color pallet looks better. I've tried to more closely emulate the more muted colors I see in cartoons more often. And thanks for the offer, dude.

The progress you have made in your style is instantly obvious even in the first couple of pages. It is great to see you develop your own style and to see it coming on so well in this delicious project. 🙂
I love the effect you have made on the portrait - very cool 😀😀 and the gradient usage is also smoothly done. (Thanks for explaining that one by the way. 🙂 🙂 ) The stlye is also clearly maintained with a nice "Big Sleep" touch to the characters.
And as for you getting you feet feather tickled....heh heh heh, what better way to end the first installment. 😛 I just love this position. Can't wait to see the next lot.

I do like how your style has departed from anime to American (or "Western" in general) comic style. It's really developing a look of it's own, which I very much like. It fits in with the dark and gothic atmosphere. 🙂

I ge this feeling it'll be really interesting to see how different the last chapter looks from this one when it's all done. The Western style is something I hope to develop more as I continue. While I still like drawing anime now and then, I'm hoping to make this my own personal style. It's like finding my own voice in the art scene. It feels good somehow. So I'm really glad to hear that you like the new look. Here's to chapter two.
