The direct approach DOES work!

I saw that thread, that's a very different situation. A producer like myself or Viper can point to our website and show that we're business people, not someone looking for personal sexual gratification, which I agree would be creepy and awfully audacious.

That is true, but how often after an approach like that would people actually want to see the website?

It doesn't matter, rhi.

"Hi, I would like to tickle you because you are attractive and I enjoy tickling attractive women"

and

"Hi, I am a producer and photographer, and I would like to pay you to participate in a tickling fetish video"

are two VERY different things, and cannot be compared.

After all, you don't compare apples to penis pumps, do you?

Would I believe variable one? Yes!

Would I believe variable two? No! 🙂 Most likely I wouldn't at the instance I was told that sentence! 🙂

At least I wouldn't believe there is all that much of a difference between one and two, because I can't imagine that you as a producer and photographer would not find the experience pleasurable.

In the end, there is only one difference: there is no camera running at variable one!

Although I do admit that the model approach probably does work for girls who have a certain level of vanity. Some want to be models so bad that they will do every crap if you just tell them it's a model job.

I dare to say in most cases if people would go for the model thing, they would also go for the "I do it because I like to do it" proposal.

Luckily for those of us who actually do what you're being hypothetical about, not every young lady is as easily offended as you are and we've been quite successful. Frankly, chances are you give off an air of friendly-yet-firm that suggests no one who doesn't already know you should ask you to do anything ever, so fortunately it's not something you'd have to deal with very often 🙂 As for Viper enjoying the shoot, he's a red-blooded male, it'd be creepy if he didn't enjoy filming lovely young ladies even for non-fetish shoots...nowhere is it written that a photographer can't be turned on by his subjects so long as he remains professional.

Virtually every stranger that I've asked to work for me has asked to see my site, that's why I ended up putting the URL on my business cards :bubble:

Hm, actually I don't feel like I'm easily offended because I'd be a little irritated if a stranger came up to me and asked if I wanted to be in a fetish video.....I would actually consider this reaction quite common! 🙂

I am not sure what kind of air I am giving off, I guess you would have to ask someone who knows me, but I also don't think that there are a whole lot of people out there who get asked to do stuff by strangers out of the blue all the time. 🙂

It's true, it is written nowhere that a photographer can't be turned on by his models (I prefer that term to the term 'subjects' 🙂 ), but personally I prefer working with a photographer who doesn't get turned on by his models just like I prefer going to a doctor who doesn't get turned on by his patients.

I am curious though.

How often do you guys actually make an approach like that and just walk up to someone you have never seen or exchanged a word with before and pop out that question?

And what kind of air does someone have to give off to make you be that brave? I mean, what kind of appearance does the person need to have? What kind of behavior?
