The Enigma Thread

Randomness definitely is part of life...but also I do think a lot of stuff happens for a reason and sometimes we don't realize the reason when it actually happens.
 
Albert Einstein is often quoted as saying, "God does not play dice with the universe."
What he actually said (in a letter to physicist Max Born) was:
"The theory produces a good deal but hardly brings us closer to the secret of the Old One," wrote Albert Einstein in December 1926. "I am at all events convinced that He does not play dice."

So, Born believed that the universe was random at the quantum level, while Einstein's religious faith forced him to disagree.

Interesting. I did know that.

Quantum Mechanics is really misunderstood mainly cause it's basic concept is so bizarre. Yet as we investigate it it has proven to be quite true.

I think Richard Feynman said "Anyone who says they have a fundamental understanding of Quantum Mechanics is lying." The world at the particle level is chaotic and bizarre to say the least.
 
It always seems like we get more rainy Mondays than any other day of the week...maybe it's just my imagination!
 
It's not your imagination, at least not here near NYC in 2025. We've had lots of rainy Mondays.

Yea is strange sometimes it seems rain just picks a day to show up on. Like nature is scheduling it lol
 
I remember a few years ago it rained something crazy like 15 out of 16 weekends.

Yea actually the winter before this one ..we had a nasty season. Tons of rain and unussualy bad storms. They call it La Nina condition. Named after a bratty female child in Spanish lol.
 
Well you learn something new everyday...especially from Kurch!
