Its only snowed twice here in -LA in the 60 plis years i been here. Both times it only lasted like 5 minutes lol

Yea metal and bare skin at those temps is a bad combination. My dad served in Adak Alaska in WW 2 and his jacket froze to his face once. Was one of the metal snaps on the jacket.

Quite true. There is a solution to the problem but it is rather icky. One would have to see on the area to warm it up. Requires good aim if nothing else lmao
 
We have nasty weather coming tonight and tomorrow morning. I think I'm going to WFH Thursday. Enigma - What did our spoiled society do before Covid and Work From Home being an option when it snowed/iced? Answer - Risked their lives driving to work or were forced to use a vacation day.

For some people, including my father at an early age, it meant risking his life driving to work or being fired for missing a day. 🙁

Yes indeed . Seems everyone works from home these days lol. Was never an option for us chemists we always need to be in the lab.
