Ooops.....Sorry for the blunder, Gen. Haven't seen the movie since the 80s.

The fighters turn, one by one, and dive down into a narrow channel. They each have one chance to to hit a pinpoint target. Guns fire at them from both sides and dead ahead. Some miss - some are shot down - one of them comes back to cover a buddy. Bombs away, and the target is demolished!

The attack on the Death Star? No, it's RAF Lancaster bombers from 617 Squadron attacking the Mohne Dam in the Ruhr, from the movie "The Dam Busters" (1962). Lucas was so impressed with the scene that he ripped it off.

Strel you have a seriously huge amount of class. For an american to appreciate anything to do with the British military takes class and a half😀

The British Military

Jim, have you seen the BBC documentary on the Falklands war? The Guards Band was playing "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" as the troops marched through Portsmouth to the ships. The flagship fired a salute to the Queen with a 3-pdr (37mm) QF gun that was manufactured in the 1890's - it may have been used to salute Queen Victoria on her Jubilee in 1897.

I like seeing things done with class. The British military has always had that.

Best tear drop

Demi Moore when a penny is placed in her hand by her dead lover, Patrick Swayze in "Ghost." Still chokes me up.

In "The Patriot" : Mel Gibson holding the American Flag high and urging the breaking militia to charge on. This scene reminds me what this country once meant, and still could if we could get rid of all the BS that has replaced the ideals that founded this nation.😎

Some say that was a ripoff of Braveheart 🙄 😛 😉

Gloria Swanson descending the staircase in the final scene from "Sunset Boulevard."

William Goldman is a genius!

Ok, I'm sure most of you will know this, but the "Princess Bride" was not really written by Mr. Morgenstern. It was written by William Goldman, the same gent who brought you movies such as "Marathon Man" and "Magic." Who'd a thunk it, right?

Personally, Princess Bride has to be one of my absolute favorite movies. For plain old laugh out loud pleasure, you can almost pick any random spot in the tape and hit play.

But, there is this one action/swashbuckling scene in the movie that really sticks in my mind. The sword fight between Inigo Montoya and Wesley. I won't even try to describe it here, because I will just butcher it . . . but if you like graceful, stylized violence between two gentlemen, this is a good one.

Transformers: The Movie

This movie has so many moments, but my favorite takes place during Megatron's attack on the Autobot city.

When seemingly all hope is lost and the villains have broken through their defenses, Optimus Prime singlehandedly turns the tide in an emotional battle scene backed by the Stan Bush song "The Touch"

I love that movie! 😉 😀

A few scenes come to mind:

JAWS: 'We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat...' When Brody sees the Shark for the first time.

SILENCE OF THE LAMBS: When Hannibal & Clarice first meet in the asylum. Really, really great acting.

SE7EN: The end sequence! I won't spoil it for anybody who has not seen this yet, if you are one of these people -SEE THIS FILM NOW! IT ROCKS! 😉

HALLOWEEN: When a 'dead' Michael Myers raises up (out of focus) behind Laurie. BROWN TROUSERS TIME!

THE TERMINATOR: When The Terminator (Arnie) is in the gun shop and the clerk says he can't load his gun up with ammo: 'Wrong', and blows his brains out. LOL

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS: Steve Martin as 'The Dentist': LOL! When he comes to work on his motorcycle and goes into the surgery and sings that great song!

BATMAN: When The Joker (Jack Nicholson) is dancing around the art gallery smashing everything up to Prince's 'Party Man' song . LOL

GHOSTBUSTERS: At the start when they go to investiagate a ghost in the libary, and it scares the crap out of the them: 'Ready.....Ready....GET HER!' LOL

bloody hell! I could go on all night! Get Carter is another one of me faves!

By the way, Mischief, I loved that film 'Magic'. I found it quite sad!

All time favorite scene...

Those are very good scenes! 🙂 😀

I haven't seen Episode 2 yet, although i have heard Boba is featured as a child with his father Jango in some scenes, sounds interesting.

Another scene I forgot to mention:

HELLRAISER: After blood is spilt on the floorboards, Uncle Frank's body starts to morph back into a nearly human form. Great use of music and 80s special effects. A really great (and gory 😉 ) horror movie for those who haven't seen it.

By the way, not just a scene, but the film as a whole: HENRY: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. This is a Great GREAT film. Very powerful stuff. Well worth watching.

Every scene in "Spider-Man" that showed what a dork Peter Parker really can be. lol.

Peter trying to shoot webbing-----> " Flyyy!....up, up and away, web!.....shazam, web!......go,web,go!" :blaugh:

In the first Godfather when Michael Corleone "Settles all family business" near the end of the flick🙂

In Scarface when Tony Montana says "Say hello to my little friend" before he blows the door apart with his grenade launcher😀 😀

In the second Godfather when Michael kisses his brother Fredo and tells him "You broke my heart Fredo you broke my heart" then has him killed for his disobedience later in the movie😀
