Some miss - some are shot down - one of them comes back to cover a buddy. Bombs away, and the target is demolished!
The attack on the Death Star? No, it's RAF Lancaster bombers from 617 Squadron attacking the Mohne Dam in the Ruhr, from the movie "The Dam Busters" (1962). Lucas was so impressed with the scene that he ripped it off.

Mischief said:Ok, I'm sure most of you will know this, but the "Princess Bride" was not really written by Mr. Morgenstern. It was written by William Goldman, the same gent who brought you movies such as "Marathon Man" and "Magic." Who'd a thunk it, right?
Personally, Princess Bride has to be one of my absolute favorite movies. For plain old laugh out loud pleasure, you can almost pick any random spot in the tape and hit play.
But, there is this one action/swashbuckling scene in the movie that really sticks in my mind. The sword fight between Inigo Montoya and Wesley. I won't even try to describe it here, because I will just butcher it . . . but if you like graceful, stylized violence between two gentlemen, this is a good one.

JAWS: 'We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat...' When Brody sees the Shark for the first time.
SILENCE OF THE LAMBS: When Hannibal & Clarice first meet in the asylum. Really, really great acting.
HALLOWEEN: When a 'dead' Michael Myers raises up (out of focus) behind Laurie. BROWN TROUSERS TIME!
ng everything up to Prince's 'Party Man' song . LOL
