Thank you, Rajee! Got your reply over at the TMF (even though it seems currenlty to be drifting in limbo)... looking forward to having you guest in Chapter 8! I'll send details soon.Awesome Chapter 7 LBH. :super_hap
So ya ain't had enough, eh! ... yeah! I can definitely see it happening! The devine Janus, sneaking in an appearance when least expected! The ol' mind is churning with creative possibilities now!Who knows, maybe I can even get more screen time in the future... *cough... hint... cough* LOL
Too kind of you, Featherhead! My thanks for the hearty congrats! 29 pages... I know, this one tends to go on and on! I generally like the page-count a bit more modest (25 pages would be ideal), but frequently it takes more space than I suppose to make the point I want or to achieve the proper pacing. 30 pages, I think, will forever be the upper limit; any longer, and I'll break the chapter in half (as I had to do with Chapters 2 and 3; originally, that storyline was meant to run without a break).I can't avoid my anxiety every time I see a new chapter, and this time was no exception! Amazing as always, LBH! I loved the allusions! And... 29 pages??!!! Simply astonishing work!!! Way to go, fella!!!
Thank you, Darth V! I'm really pleased you like the way the knight turned out... he's had a rather tortured production history and caused a lot of design worries. The suit of armor was conceived about a year ago as a Kalamos tribute, though (while I still consider it to be one) it isn't a proper one, due to non-specific details and a lack of attribution. I won't go into the convoluted, weary tale of how this concept lapsed into its present vagueness (primarily because it makes me look like a dunce, XD)... suffice it to say that I still owe Kal a specific, appropriate cameo appearance. You, as well... you certainly deserve my best effort, due to your high-profile importance to the forum and your kind, long-term support of this Low Roads project. I'll labor to figure something that will do you proper credit... something connected with your Aygomenian Valerios persona, perhaps. I'll contact you via PM for approval once I've gotten off my lazy duff and completed the needed brain-work.
The paladin was originally intended to be more traditionally armor plated, but I grew increasingly dissatisfied with this approach... the deeper I got into the chapter, the more fairy-tale cliche it seemed. I became enamored with a slightly more raw-boned, barbarian approach. The knight as he appears now is a compromise between the two (the teutonic Templar design from Alexander Nyevski, with its fanciful head-gear, was a major influense). Happily, I was able to locate several good photos for reference, most of them scale-model work (see examples below). All sorts of valuable inspiration to be found in these reconstructions... I was lucky to find them.
I'm not at present familiar with Warhammer, but examples shouldn't be difficult to find! And I will need further armored-hero designs... that's a recent decision, but a firm one! Very good advice! Thank you!Good choice.
For your next 'hero'. Maybe base it on a Grail Knight like in the classic art or in Warhammer. Those always look marvellous.

It's an honor to have you! And that hamster wheel I call my mind has already whistled up two more appearance opportunities! The first won't be far off, and is going to be rather sneaky... just wait and see! 😉Well, you know what they say: You can't have just one 😀
Let the ol' mind churn away!!! lol
You know it's an honor to be included in such a grand adventure  :super_hap 😉

Splendid! Absolutely splendid! A veritable Le Morte d'Arthur of knightly inspiration, organized with daunting scholarly precision! Beautifully detailed paintings, photos of metal reconstructions, even some of the scale models I like so well! A million thanks, Darth V, not only for the thoughtful consideration but for the mountain of labor this must have taken to compile! Not a question in the world that I'll find everything here I'll require for future reference... especially useful when I begin on your cameo tribute design (fixed for Chapter 9)... I'll PM to learn your preferences once I begin the needed work. Once again, thank you for this nice surprise! This wealth of background will pay unlimited dividends in accuracy and variety! Some pictures you might be able to use as inspirations! ^______^ enjoy!
