I'm glad too. We had two storms pass through yesterday. The first one in the early evening and the second during the night. It got a little iffy with that second one because of the high winds and thunder booms that sounded like gunfire. 😱 We even lost power for about an hour, which makes sleeping nearly impossible for me because I use a fan and without at least the sound, I can't sleep. 🙁

It wasn't too bad. Hearing the thunder the first time scared the crap out of me, but after that you kinda get used to, at least it doesn't make you jump.

It's been a weird August. The hottest and humidest I've seen it in a long time, but the crops (sugar beets, corn) are thriving. Farmers are expecting a bumper crop this year.

Yea it is a silly law in that sense. The cops have to violate your privacy to find out you are violating the law. LOL 😛

Like I said, many states have plain old silly laws. Did you know that in California it is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale? 😱

I think this is the silliest law in California: Animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship.
