I am not sure if that counts as actual surgery.

That exceeds the 120 losses by the 1962 NY Mets.

But the true all-time record is held by the Cleveland Spiders (of the National League) who were 20-134 in 1899.

They are painful but I need to get better.

This is an unhealthy situation because suspicions of unethical behavior are possible.

Suppose the Braves make several errors (which can happen to any team) and the Mets win the first game 4-2 with 3 unearned runs.

If the opposite happens in game two, then Arizona fans will be outraged and suspect collusion.

The MLB regular season ended with a split doubleheader.

The first game was a triple reverse.

That means that team A had a lead, then team B scored enough runs to take the lead, then team A scored enough runs to retake the lead, then team B scored enough runs to retake the lead, and that lead held until the end of the game.

That first game yesterday was pretty crazy.

I expected both the Mets and Braves to get in and they did.

Now the playoffs begin.
