The Three Sentence Game

I'm going to work.

It's chilly out this morning.

I'm getting used to it.
 
I don't like cold weather.

So, I hate winter.

Too bad we have winter weather in the fall. 🙁
 
Days are getting very short.

Things are cooling off as well.

I miss Spring weather
 
Sunset is now just past 4:30pm here.

That is really depressing.

They call it SAD, meaning seasonal affective disorder.
 
I'm doing my laundry and food shopping this morning.

I'll visit my friend and his kids this afternoon.

We'll celebrate my brother's birthday this evening.
 
I like the hot and cold buffet at Morton Williams.

I may go there for lunch today.

I hope they have brisket today if I go there.
 
It's unseasonably warm again today.

It was yesterday also.

I hope it stays that way as long as possible.
 
I had a busy weekend doing stuff.

Next weekend I plan to do a lot around home including putting up my Christmas tree.

My brother will also arrive from San Diego on Saturday evening.
 
I will get a haircut today.

When I was 10 years old, I was allowed to walk to the barbershop myself and get a haircut.

I was given $1.75 to pay for the haircut ($1.50) and tip the barber (25¢).

Yesterday, I got a fine haircut.

The cost was much more than $1.50.

The tip was much more than 25¢.
 
I love watching the stock market.

There is no guarantee you will make money in it.

That's why I keep a good chunk of money in a safe CD/Savings and also build up my 401K separately.
 
I had an uncle (who died in 2009) who had what he called the barbell theory of investing.

If you made a graph with risk on the horizontal axis and the amount he had invested on the vertical axis, then that graph would look like a barbell with a huge bugle at zero risk, a huge bulge at high risk, and almost zero investments in between.

He used U.S. Treasury bonds as his zero risk investment, and various different vehicles for his high risks.
 
It's been a mild and dry autumn.

It looks like that's about to change soon.

Hopefully we won't see any snow until around when Santa will arrive.
