There was a fine lunch today at the Lincoln Square Senior Center.

I enjoyed eating it. 😀

They called it the "Farewell to 2024" lunch.

I slept quite late today.

Only until 8am, but that is late for me.

I needed to catch up on sleep.

I will be seeing Goddess Shelly at noon today.

I expect it to be a wonderful time together.

That's because she is wonderful to be with.

I'm thinking of New Year's Resolutions.

But does anyone really keep them?

I actually have kept a few in the past.

I don't make New Years Resolutions

Never have at all

Most likely never will

I also don't make New Year's resolutions.

I have made some in the distant past and never kept them.

So I don't bother with them any more.

Hopefully it will be a good one

I hope it is for all of us.

2024 was an excellent year for the Dodgers.

They have never won two consecutive World Series.

I hope that pattern comes to an end in 2025.

We are now in the baseball desert. ⚾

It's been a long time since the World Series ended.

And it's a long time until Opening Day. 🙁

I miss baseball, the holidays, spring, summer, fall, and more.

Now we are in the dead of winter for the next 2+ months.

But we'll hope for the best this winter season!

It was mostly a restful day.

That's a good way to ease into a new year.

I did visit my friend but there was no traffic so it was easy to do.

It is now January 2nd.

This is the day that many people return to work.

Also, many people are depressed by their weight ⚖️ 🙁, or by the bills they incurred 🙁 , or both. 🙁

The holidays are over.

But that is ok.

Now we are in full winter mode.

I liked being retired.

But I don't mind working for the Board of Elections occasionally.

Especially because they pay $250 per day.

I wish I could teach

Don't really enjoy being retired.

Sadly my health has forced the issue

I had to stay late at work on Thursday.

I should be able to leave on time on Friday.

I'm looking forward to my weekend.

It has gotten cold again.

Yesterday there was a strong wind that chilled me to the bone.

I hate winter. ❄️

More eye injections are coming up

I really hate them.

My eyes usually swell up for a day or two
