This Animal Is Bullshit

Aren't those the things that can crawl in your nose or ears when you sleep, or your mouth if it is open - but you'd never know it because their touch is so light? I think those are the ones that do that. They like darkness and moisture.

:goodjob::rowfull:

When I first had them in my apartment, also in PA, by the way, there was one on my bedroom ceiling, and I stayed awake the whole night watching it, making sure it didn't fall on me, etc. I had a ton of them, and they are freaking fast, but for me the grossest thing was when my 2 cats stalked them, and sometimes when they actually managed to catch them, they would eat them, and all you would hear is that crunch. Wow, I just grossed myself out. Glad I don't like in that apartment anymore.

Lyz! Can you imagine snoring and one crawling into your mouth only to wake up to the crunch of your teeth closing down on it!!??!!

They are removed from the ears using a 2-percent lidocaine anesthetic. Who knows, might work for nostrils as well.

You must be a masochist. All these centipede comments disturb you, yet you keep coming back for more 😉

At least you will never have a rodent problem.

I have a feeling you're only telling me this to gross me out....don't be like the rest of them!!!

Oh hon - I haven't lied to you yet! On "The Straigth Dope" website they go into detail about the orifice-al removal of roaches & earwigs (with those pinchers of theirs!)... there's a few other similar inter-web-type places out there, too.

I recall reading a 'Dear Abby' column where a writer desribed seeing a tiny spider making a web in a date's hair, behind his ear.

I wonder about the threat silverfish might pose. Interesting to think about.

Vlad encouraged me.

We will never be friends.

:punt: I did not encourage anyone!

I had a dream last night where I saw a couple arthropod limbs protruding from a crevice in my living room wall. I went to go poke it and kill it, but as I approached, two giant centipedes, about three feet long each, scurried out and ran across the room into another crevice. It was pretty sweet.

We need a scowl/intimidating squinty eyes emoticon - I'd use that shit all the time - like NOW.

Oh, and OT, we need a muscle flex smiley too.

Two in five months is NOTHING. Two or more in the span of like an hour. That would be alot. At least you didn't find a mouse that had been dead all of a few hours, under your sofa like i did. Yup, mouse. Good thing i decided to move the sectional or i never would have seen it.

I bet that was one hell of a surprise lol
