Watched Nintendo Direct this morning as I was curious about how Sakurai would implement Ryu and honestly I was impressed but it shows why it was a bad idea. Ryu is broken and Smash fans are actually complaining about his optional inputs.

Yeah it's a pretty cool little feature. You can either do the standard smash button and direction, or you can do Ryu's traditional QCF, HCF, QCB, and shoryu inputs for stronger versions.

He also has two Final Smashes. Shinku Hadoken at range, and Shin Shoryuken at close range.

Now I love Ryu as much as the next girl, and more than some (I admit), but he's in a LOT of games. Could they not put somebody less overused in Smash? XD

Well he's in anything to do with Street Fighter because he's the game's poster boy so it's kind of fitting really.

Also, his stage from Street Fighter II, Suzaku Palace, is in the game as well.

It's smash... always uses the poster child. XD
Though to be honest if I were playing I'd want Chun Li or Morrigan.

Additionally, I think part of it was that Ryu would be fairly simple to implement.

Looks like this E3 is shaping up pretty well so far.

Really disappointing that Bioware went with a teaser for Mass Effect: Andromeda at E3 of all places but other than that things have been decent at every turn so far.

ME3 was good but I promptly uninstalled it along with Origins as soon as I was done. That said, I feel ME2 was better.
