Thanks for the pictures and links guys. But I think the forum has made it's decision. I'll go back tomorrow and look at how many voted for Street Fighter and how many voted for Final Fantasy, and then eliminate one of them and choose the character most people voted for.

(Although its not secret who the winner is at this point)

Today is tuesday, this was the deadline day, so the conest portion of the thread is now officially closed.

Ok, I've looked at the results and came up with the top four characters that made the final cut. The ones that did not make it did not make it because either not enough people voted for them, or too many people voted for too many things and didn't choose a single one or decide on a single choice. That would have made tabulating the results more difficult, so its easier doing it on a singles basis where people voted for one character.

The top 4 are:

- Chun-Li Xiang (4 votes)

- Cammy White (2 votes, tie)

- Princess Peach/Toadstool (2 votes, tie)

- Tifa Lockheart (1 vote)


So the winner is Chun-Li Xiang!

Ok, those artists who participated in this contest, this is the character we'll be drawing. Since however different people would have different ways they'd want Chun-Li tickled, I'll leave it at your discretion to draw her tickled however you want.

As for when these pictures should be finished and available, take your time, but to be fair to those that participated in this contest and their character won, it might be a good idea to put the drawing on your priority list or something if you have the space and time to give it that level of importance. I don't want this to be treated like a regular request if it can be helped, so anything you can do to remind yourselves that this is definitely on the "to do" list would be good.

Also, I was sort of thinking it might be a neat idea if we all posted the pictures the same time instead of randomly. But that would require we coordinate and set a specific date. If you want to do that reply to this portion of the post.

But I do have something already that I drew up a long time ago using the figure drawing techniques that were recommended by some guy on the other forum and some people might remember this one and know the history behind it

It went something like make the body look like eggshells and use S curves for the limbs or something like that and he said something about being meticulous with the feet, and oh yeah he said something about how the boobs were supposed to be shaped

So this is the result of the given advice using MS Paint and 5 hours of Adobe Photoshop Version 10 Thousand +/-20 degrees Celsius

Any artist who wanted to participate is what I said. But thus far no one else has given a definite answer.

So personally, I'm working under the assumption that I'll be the only one drawing this picture. If they others decide to chime in and draw it as well, then all the better. Eiether way, everyone gets a picture.

As for your picture, its actually pretty decent for a start. Good job, though you may want to finish it up. Maybe I'm the one that gave you some advice, I don't know. How long ago was this?

I think Princesses Peach and Toadstool should be counted as one. I looked it up (extensively) and I think they are one and the same. Was it this forum I posted it in? Anyway, in case it was someplace else...
Princess Toadstool was named that way in early Mario games. later on the developer renamed her Princess Peach because that's her name in Japan and he wanted to bring the two worlds a little closer together. Thusly there is no more Toadstool but rather a Peach with the same looks/hair/dress, etc.
I wouldnt mention it other than That would give her 4 votes and she's my pick. 😀

Maybe I read it wrong. I was not counting Peach and Toadstool as the same character however.

Like I said, I only counted a character as a finalist if they were independantly voted for.

Posts that nominated different characters and didn't arrive at a single character choice weren't counted.

If however you and anyone else things there should be a re-vote or we should calcuate the results differently, then that would be fine. But to be fair, I think the notion would require some ammount of support. One, two, or even three people saying it should be redone isn't enough of the majority I think.

Its really all up to you if you want to go through with this again.

Princess Peach was the original name back in Japan the land of Mario and rpgs and anime and other sovereign Japanese products

But in USA land Princess Peach was renamed to Toadstool for whatever reason be it that Peach was a weird quixotic name or that Toadstool just made more sense to them because of the mushroom theme

So Princess Peach = Princess Toadstool

The same way Sonic the Hedgehog's Dr. Eggman = Dr. Robotnik

Or Vega (Japan) = M.Bison (US)

This is canon information and not just word of mouth gossip because word of mouth gossip on a video game is stupid

The reason behind that was because the drawing advice said something about the ribcage looking like a cracked eggshell I think, I don't remember clearly

I use pens too and have been for years. I detest pencils but, to each his own I supose. I'm picky over my pens too. I only use papermate. I like the shape the way it gets thinner toward the top like an artists brush. I hate Bic pens. They remind me of those big fat pencils from school.
