Okay, I just googled "Tickling Media Forum" and it showed 6th on the list.

yes, but as we've discussed, it's showing up from its IP, not its domain name.

Not for me, it's gone entirely. Or at least off any of the front pages.

Well, it looks as though, fair or not, there are elements of the site that set off Google's spam detectors. But there are also ways to get that content across without the problems. Are those workable?

absolutely. I've already changed the front page to elimenate the hidden text, which was created long before these standards were in place.

Jeff, I checked the front page seconds ago, and the hidden text is still there.

The problem wasn't that it was hidden so much as it was a string of text with no purpose other than to draw in hits from other search engines. Making it visible doesn't change that.

No, the problem was that it was hidden, hidden text is a violation of google's ToS apparently.

Well, I managed to get verified as the owner of the site, and I've submitted us for consideration of reinclusion into the directory.

Best of luck; here's to hoping Google can see reason this time. Considering how long this Site has been around, and the irrefutable presence of international interest, I'd think you're being more than accommodating.

May the Force be with you? (Too much... far, far too much Star Wars... and coffee)

Hello,

As of this morning (August 2nd, 2007), a search for the word "tickling" gives this forum as first choice (at least on my end)...

Myriads, Jeff, since I started this thread, I wanted to let you both know that when I do a search of "Tickling" on Comcast, the forum is now listed third on that search. However, on Yahoo search engine, there is no listing. Perhaps that particular engine will take a bit of time to come back.
Just wanted to post the latest info I had.

Mitch

It shows up third for me on Google (8/2/2007). Laso shows up on excite...which I used while it wasn't showing up on google.

Yes!!! We're back on google! Thanks for the good news, toyou!

I just Googled "Tickling", and the TMF came up as the very first listing. Guess things are back to normal. This is good news.
