hey deus one other thing im in dwtd i called spaz out against mammona and when she did her ability to silence it pretty much locked up the game since spaz cant use items or guard.

Ok well i'm in the hard mode and i beat her mamonna without the crystal or breaking hers. saw the shin one too but she was beaten automaticly with regular manomma. But i guess like it says, I get no key so i'll have to wait.

Which class and what level were you? You're supposed to see Shin Mammona, since the text says "You catch a glimpse of her true form". The actual fight takes place when you try to go up the stairs to the third floor while holding the Red Feather.

Edit: I'm going back through and making a pretty big change. MP costs are being scaled back from percentage based to a static amount. This is good news for high level characters, bad news for lower level characters. I just felt that percentage based skills made Adrenaline boosting effects pretty much worthless. I'll keep an eye on costs and see if there are certain skills that end up too expensive/too cheap.

Quick question:
I've started a new save yesterday, pretty much done everything except for entering (trying to) the third floor. Should I wait until the fix for Mammona or can I do the fight now and the fix will work regardless?
 
2 small bugs

1. When talking to Lady Ambellina, she referred to my male character as a he.
2. When leaving the tower after getting more elemental flasks from that shady guy thing to fight Paranoia, your character says he has to help save those poeple before leaving the tower.

1. What was the context? Pre-Paranoia? Post-Paranoia? (Found a spot that had a gender, changed it).

2. Fixed. Until I can post a new link, just go to the stairs and choose to leave the Tower.

You can fight Mammona if you'd like...I can retroactively put the key in your inventory. Though, apparently Mammona is on the easier side, so if you don't want to fight her after a buff, I'd recommend fighting her now.

major bug

Ok this ones a little more important. In the most recent update, the elemental flasks do nothing to paranoia's 'lights'...Ive used up everything I had and didnt break a single color.

Shin Mammona is completely unavailable right now. I've buffed her too, and added damage to Mammona's status' spells. That should increase her damage output. Two of the attacks ignore defense. I've also buffed her defense from 6 to 8 base...which makes it...104 instead of 78. That should make the crystal necessary enough. It no longer does direct damage, instead it inflicts a "Weakened" state on Mammona, opening you to attack her until she recovers.

Her Stamina should be significantly high enough, and with the Mana cost being converted to a static amount, she won't be using "Spirit Charge" too often, especially since direct attacks recover Adrenaline in Mamono.

I think adding damage to her status effects and the buff I gave Greed Core Wave (now will inflict 4 states on you whenever she uses it), should bring her up to snuff.

I'm guessing that, right now, the consensus is that Bebe is the harder of the two?

Edit: Oh yeah...forgot to add that back in. Fixed the shell issue. See? Don't doubt my capacity for failure. Will get Shin Mammona finished and an update pushed out ASAP.

Well I don't know if you changed anything in this version - waiting with the Mammona Fight. But if it's still as it was before the last update, belze is definetly the tougher nut to crack.
 
I found an exploit with the thief. If you steal from Mammona when during the scene were you have to run away from her you get 250 coins. Thing is, each time you run and re-enter battle with her, you can steal another 250 coins. I was able to get tons of coin quickly this way, though as a thief money doesn't matter quite as much.

The other thing was...weird. During the normal fight with Mammona where you can beat her, after her first attack I lost all of my adrenaline. I used an item to fill it back up then when I went to use a skill, all skills suddenly cost 22 AP, which is my max AP rating. This include Target tickle and other skill that don't even normally have an AP cost. I did the fight twice and it happened both times.

I'll lower the amount you can steal from her.

She has an ability that inflicts Adrenaline Burst which makes all of your skills cost 100% of your Adrenaline. It's a new state.
 
Disclaimer: Have not installed updates, life not permitting yet. Looking forward to it, though.

Mammona is or at least was varied dependent on how good or evil you are. If you're good she's way easier than if she's evil. And I bet most of us are on the good side of the karma spectrum. There's a danger that if we make Mammona challenging just considering a "moderately good" player, the evil folk will get screwed. So, an easy Mammona is your reward for not tickling the crap out of all the good little boys and girls. If, however, evil players have noticed her being too easy, then by all means tweak away.

I for one, want to play through this game with multiple characters. Different classes and paths, good and evil. My nice thief (ha, sounds contradictory) and Evil Slayer should both be able to make it through without being steamrolled because a certain boss only works if you play the game a certain way.
 
Did you do anything new to Beelzebebe? I started over, and she didn't give this much trouble last time! She breaking my back as a lvl 5 Mage on DwtD! It would be nice if I could leave the tower between fighting the foxes and fighting her.

For Calypso #3: The same Zodiac Signs / Elemental spell combo (Mage here) I was using from the second fight, aren't doing dmg. Yet Dust Devil will hit her for normal dmg (around 150 average with my build at lvl 9) in every single zodiac sign she has, except Sagittarius(sp?) which I don't have anything atm that will hit her in that sign.

Just wondering if this is supposed to happen, or if it's an accident. Thought I would bring that up since it seemed a little odd.
 
I beat Calypso #3 and suddenly I was able to walk through EVERYTHING!!!!! Seriously, I went dancing on the lake where the great fairy was!

I'm...testing it at the moment and Dust Devil hasn't been able to hit anything it can't hit (Virgo is the only aura weak to Earth).

They're the same states...and I don't know why it would turn "Through" on after beating her. Seriously, guys, can't you find problems that make sense?

Edit: AHA!!!! I found it! Apparently, Capricorn is also weak to Earth, here's the problem. Capricorn and Sagittarius are the newest auras, so I forgot to go back and make sure the others were cancelling Capricorn when they activated. Basically, once she used Capricorn, it stayed on until she got back to Sagittarius, which turned it off (hence Sagittarius not taking damage).

@ the Beelzebebe comment two pages back: Well, she is level 6 and you're level 5 on a squishy class <_< that can make a big difference.

On the topic of Calypso, she kind of became my favorite part of the game for now. I do wonder regularly what her story is and how it's gonna play out. *-*

How's the update progressing if you don't mind me asking? There's no rush tho.

Fairly smoothly. I'm going to upload Shin Mammona as soon as I have a game over or two written, then just update for the rest of them.

Once Shin Mammona and the skill cost fixes are done, I'll upload a new link. Want to get it up today, probably won't.
