It's gaelic for Margaret, my dad's a crazy irishman with an unintelligable brogue so I am named Mairead. Actually, my mom suggested it after reading an article on Mairead Farrell, an IRA member that tried to bomb the british governor's house or something. Yeah, I'm named after a terrorist...
