Two Truths And A Lie

New game:

A) To win a bet, I once ate all 8 slices of a large pizza without getting up from the table.

B) I have never eaten a slice of cherry pie.

C) To win a bet, I once ate 5 scoops of chocolate ice cream without getting up from the table.
 
PS: How do I choose which one to make the lie? I don't try to outguess the guessers. I randomize.
I look at the seconds digit of my watch.
If it is 1, 4, or 7, then I make A) the lie.
If it is 2, 5, or 8, then I make B) the lie.
If it is 3, 6, or 9, then I make C) the lie.
If it is 0, then I look away, say "Shit!" and look back again.

Going to go with A as a lie. Regardless, I will guess that you aren't lactose intolerant 😛
 
A is true.I did exactly so in June 1972, the day before I graduated from college.

Indeed, I am not lactose intolerant 😛
 
My third attempt at two-truths-and-a-lie:

[1] I only like to read non-fiction for leisure... it is very rare for me to read anything fictional for fun.
[2] I started to go bald soon after I turned 21.
[3] I have two favorite clothing combinations: (a) a T-shirt and shorts, and (b) an Oxford buttondown shirt with any kind of pants (jeans, khakis, slacks, et cetera).

Wow. You really are a mathematician, aren't you?
Fun fact: nine years ago, I changed careers... and started teaching math on the college level... just like someone on this forum!
Now, I teach only on the community college level... and I am qualified to teach everything between arithmetic and trigonometry,
because I cannot teach calculus. (I wish I could... but I can't, because I don't understand it. Sigh. I've tried. Four times. Each time, I came up short. Drat.)
 
C) was the lie. I would gladly accept such a bet, but nobody has ever offered it.

New game:

A) My first flight by airplane was in 1952, NYC to Miami, and I don't remember it.

B) My last flight by airplane was in 2023, Chicago to NYC, to come home from a Thanksgiving weekend.

C) My least favorite flight by airplane was in 2006, Pittsburgh to Erie, on a small plane (seating 30) which bounced around in the wind.

B is true. I have not flown since November 2023. Thanksgiving in 2024 was held by my other niece in Syracuse and I took Amtrak.

A is true. I was taken on a family vacation (from the Bronx to Miami) when I was two years old and I have no memory of the flight or the vacation.

C was the lie. The flight to Erie did occur exactly as described, but I have a less favorite flight:
In 1989, I flew from Miami back to NYC after a one-week cruise in the Caribbean. The flight was 6 hours late in taking off and they also lost my luggage. It was Eastern Airlines. As compensation for the lost luggage, they wouldn't give me any money, just a certificate for $200 towards the purchase future flights on Eastern Airlines.

When they went bankrupt in 1991, I said, "Well deserved, you bastards."

A) I joined the Cub Scouts in 1958. I eventually got the Wolf, Bear, and Lion patches.

B) I joined the Boy Scouts in 1961. I eventually reached the rank of First Class but never reached Star, Life, or Eagle.

C) My brother was more successful, reaching the rank of Life Scout.
