(A) I don't know how to cook.
I have already posted that this is incorrect. I do know how to cook.

(B) I don't know how to whistle.
This is true. I've never been able to do this. They say "just put your lips together and blow..." and I do that... but nothing comes out. (Except carbon dioxide.)

(C) I don't know how to snap my fingers with both hands.
This is technically true. I know how to snap the fingers on my left hand... but not my right.

A is indeed the lie. I got my first pair of glasses at age 11 when my fifth grade teacher noticed that I was always squinting at the board and sent a note home to my parents to take me to an ophthalmologist.

No B is true. A couple of years ago I ran across the street and was trying to run behind a car but it stopped so I wound up running into it lol...fortunately I just bounced off it briefly and then ran in front of it as it was stopped at a light.

(A) I've never been to Canada. ...that's the lie. I've been to Canada dozens of times. I was born in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan USA, and many people know that Windsor, Ontario is across the Detroit River from that major American city. (Fun Fact: when you drive on the bridge or tunnel from Detroit to Windsor, you actually travel SOUTH. That's why Detroiters -- and many Michiganders -- can accurately claim that they live north of Canada.)

Besides visiting Windsor many times, I have been to Toronto three times (once as a child with my parents that I cannot remember, and twice as a graduate student, each time attending an environmental academic conference and presenting a paper), once to Montreal (attending an environmental academic conference and presenting a paper), and once to Vancouver (attending an environmental academic conference and presenting a paper -- do you see a pattern forming?). I am no longer an environmental academic, but I enjoyed that career; I changed careers in 2016. I'm now a mathematics instructor on the community college level. (And am searching for a teaching gig in Las Vegas.)

(B) I've never been to Europe... this is true. I have never left North America.

(C) I've never been to Mexico... this is true. In fact, the only three countries I have been to are the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas.
