Greetings and bienvenue lurkers of the site, I am your lovable host Basch. Today I present you a small project I am working on, until I get over the coding problems with my big project.

So what do I have in store for you that you haven't seen already. Well for starters I have started working on a project that will probably be first HORROR tickling game made on this site, for this site, by this site... ok wait, that last part was wrong, but never mind that.

As I mentioned above, this will be horror tickling game, so not many of you who seek erotic scenes, love, happy ending or even lovable fluffy characters you want to strangle to death and decapitate, putting their heads on the wall... umm... well this game will not be everyone's cup of tea.

In advance I warn you that this game will sport a great deal of distress, torture, sadism, psychological mind games, breaking them and squishing them till they are no more than shell of their formers selves! This game will show you the side of tickling that will frighten you and wish you've never seen any of this before... so if you like being scared till death, you are welcome. If not, just press that nice button that says back.

Ok, now onto specifics of this game. This game will be the introduction into the serial that will plot wise lead you into few different roles, but that will remain secret for now. Also worth mentioning is that this game was inspired by Screamers 'Tickle Mansion', especially the part of being locked up in the mansion with people with some sort of mentally diagnosed condition and you must admit that Screamer did a great job making them all look cute. I am here to represent realistic diagnoses and worst case scenarios, so nothing cute here! 😀

Now, what can I tell you about this game. Well here is the list of things I will spoil now, I will elaborate later on how you can acquire more info.

Plot setting:
-The whole game is placed inside mental hospital.
-You play as one of five positive characters.
-Mister Dae died in making of this game... with my great pleasure 😀

Game engine:
-There is no combat in this game. If you played Corpse Party you know what to expect.
-Game will be updated later on with CG for each Game over scene.

Now for all that have questions... (with so many details introduced how can anyone have questions? End sarcasm here.). You can ask our little faithful ghost Alice, who's picture is attached to this post. She is allowed to spoil game for you, I actually couldn't stop her even if I wanted to, so be careful what you ask.

Consider me intrigued. Any projection on a release date, other than the coding issue thing?
 
Well considering this wasn't asked from Alice, I will do a quick reply. This project should be done till middle of September with unique teaser demo (not part of the plot), done by end of July.

Other project will be long lasting project.... think Dragon Age and each game loading previous ones actions to shape a totally new plot. Hence the problem in coding.
 
Not really a Visual Novel. It's more like an adventure, exploring, solving puzzles, being chased and killed... oops... 😛

This thing sounds a little too rich for my blood. Don't think I'd enjoy a gruesome game revolved around tickling, but then again there is that part of me that looks up and is fascinated by Nightmare Fuel (though that's as far as it goes - spotting guro is an immediate Back or Next Page click). I'll probably play it until something irks me enough that I stand up and go "Done!" and exit it lol

Still an interesting concept. The only thing is if you'll have actions and events that the player can choose between each, because that Load Save from Previous Game idea is going to be damn near impossible. From what I've read on the forums, unless you make the game a Chapter based (like LoL and ToG did), it's going to be incredibly hard to keep track of everything the player has (or hasn't) done in previous games.
That is, if this is an RPG/Quest/Story sort of thing. If you're basing this off a "Well they die at the end of each game anyways, so that's all that matters", then I could see that being doable. It would simply check to see if you completed the previous game or had reached the designated checkpoint. If you need it to keep check over what they DID to the minute detail, however, then I don't think it's going to work (unless, again, you did the Chapters system and just kept adding on to the original game; keeping the early releases material within the game but inaccessible as you progressed through the story). Also, doing it this way means you'll have very limited things you can change on previous releases without screwing up game saves from new releases.

So that's just something to think about.

P.S. Did you draw that ghost? She is ADORABLE!!

I will be using your imagination against you and sometimes paint it a little with blood, but the game is more about distress and fear in psychological sense, than pure bloodshed. Not my thing anyways.

Alice will be linear serial of three games (three planned so far) with canonical endings, aka True Endings. They will not have upload save data from previous game, nor anything like that. I just designed them as a little fright and practice while I prepare my big project. I have to practice drawing somewhere.

Also, Alice based games will be divided into several small chapters, all placed in the same place, but constructed in different manner due to different influences. In Monday the 12th, you will have five chapters with each one based on one mental disability, phobia or anything similar to that.

And yes, i drew that ghost, using few pictures as a example, but that is Alice all in all. Alice is our most important actress in these games, so treat her nice 😀

Hmm, well it seems like an interesting game, but not really up my alley. I'll pass on this one too.
 
You made Alice mad. Well as I said it will not be for everyone, so no hard feelings... I actually don't expect to have more than three players considering how deep and hard the plot will be, even if it's a side project.

Well I'm glad to hear that there won't be guro. Though your first post still does show a lot of stuff I'll have a hard time accepting.
But it is good to see more games being made, and I'm sure there's an audience for that here on TT. I mean, we have videos (and fans of said videos) of people who torture and punish their ticklees until they're crying and pee themselves and have a nice "singed" smell to their flesh, soooo...yea.

My imagination is a scary thing :stickout. Best to not think about it since, if left too vague, my mind starts racing through the most horrible scenarios (much to my complete displeasure).

Glad you clarified how your games will be; didn't want you to start on an idea that couldn't work. Is there any game you'd compare your gameplay to, as an example?

So Alice is the main antagonist huh? Alright, I've got a question for her - Alice, do you eat souls? And what do they taste like?

So is she like an Alma character (FEAR) or Samara (The Ring)? Seems to heavily imply there is a curse by Alice on the place, and it is up to our intrepid heroes to sacrifice themselves to satisfy or destroy it (because they certainly don't sound like they just "SAEV DA DAAAYYY")

Time for some updates:

Engine side I have decided to make each of the three Alice games in the different game maker, for challenge and because it would fit the stories better that way. Also I have decided on the names of each of the games, so here goes the explanation.

Alice: Monday 12th will be made in Rpgmaker Vx Ace, obviously enough. It will be a horror adventure similar to Corpse Party and it will feature only one playable character.

Alice: Cackle Returns will be made in Renpy, because it will feature more plot and the dread will come from different point of view and aspect of horror. believing is not seeing it seems... heh heh heh.

Alice: Silence of The will be made in secret game making engine, it will allow you a totally different point in the game and it will finish the saga. This game is not as much about dread for yourself as it is about fearing for others. Buahahahaha...



Anyways let us focus on the first game. Monday the 12th has been mostly planned, so I will be making custom graphic this week and start making the demo on the next Sunday, so that should mean we should have demo ready in the middle of the July for sure. After that it should be only up until start of September that we will have first done game.

Most of the characters have been planned out and I have few surprises. Although not exactly my aspect of tickling, Alice 'requested', nay, demanded there should be some /m scenes too. Yay for that. So for that reason few members of the main staff got gender operation, with final draft looking like this... 3 female students, 2 male students. These are just amongst the leads, there are still some side characters, but their scenes won't be (unless plot driven) descriptive as leads.

Also thanks to Alice now I have main character for the second game and my true persona. You will enjoy meeting this character, but that will be later on.

Music is requested somewhat from our talented Yanneilucia, but I will try to compose some myself. CG is still not even ready to be developed, so sorry about saying this, but no CG in demo. Oh well, live with that or join Alice! 😛
 
Bash....you know you are going to have to use Lavender town music from the pokemon game...if you want creepy.

Answers for solle. I am still trying out few comic styles, still not sure which one I should use, but for now I am sticking with this one. Also few concept art of Alice should be done in the next few days. If I happen to have some free time, I will color her in Photoshop too.

A series of 3 games already planned, you say? The very strong possibility of getting freaked out, but still not knowing why?

And since we're on the freaking out subject, a question for Alice:
Alice, as a ghost, do you have or use any particular skill to tickle people, assuming your capable of it?
 
Sorry for lack of update, I've been rather sick lately, so I haven't been able to come here... damn my heart.

Well I will be doing a short demo for next sunday so that should give you some insight what the game will be about.
