She is Alive!!
First of all I want to thank all of eager fans that are waiting for the game and give them some good news. Game will happen, but before development starts I have something to tease you with.
To start with I redesigned Alice, as you can see her in attachment. Instead of typical horror movie little Japanese ghost girl, I decided to go with something unique that few people inspired me to. I decided to make her older, as was her true age originally and make her alluring and seductive in process in comparison to old innocent design. Still don't be fooled by her look, as you can see her dress is made out of thousand victims souls that are hers forever and ever and she can utilize them to her own desire.
Someone once asked me if Alice does all of the dirty work herself. This is the explanation behind that... no she doesn't. She utilizes the souls of captured people who are angry at those innocent and not tormented. 'Why shouldn't they suffer if we must' idea. So before facing Alice you would have a long way to go.
The drawing took me almost four hours to finish, which is amazing considering I have attention span of... what was I talking about? Anyways the results are obvious and hopefully she will improve. I am still to learn a lot about shading, though I won't bother you with details, just say that I enjoyed drawing her hair and facial expression the most. She is probably the first character I drew that is ALIVE! And she will keep on living as long as I master my own style.
Now for surprises. There are three of them actually.
First one, I will be doing a demo and releasing it on 15th December. It will be non-canonical story that will just demonstrate what is to happen. I will be using RpgMakerVX, so prepare all junk you need to run it. Also, because of lack of time, I didn't compose any music, so I will be stealing some for now, though I plan to attempt to make a full OST of only piano music for the game. Not really musically talented, but I like dabbling around with ivory 😛
Secondly, I will be doing a comic that will involve one other artists character and Alice, going head to head. This will also be non-canonical and I probably won't be doing any tickling in the first issue, but who knows... we will see, but still it will be a nice visualization for Alice and so on and so on.
Thirdly, the real game production will start somewhere around New Year, but I think I can finish it before May. It's five months, I know, but I am going to try to add in extra contest, as CG scenes, full body avatars, and maybe some voices, if I can get my friends to work with me (read between lines, bribe them). Honestly I don't feel comfortable using someone else's material and recycling same things all over again.
Now a for the gameplay I had in mind. As you know this will be horror survival adventure made in rpg maker. By day, your character (Won't reveal anything about her yet... DOUGH!) will be doing it's business rounds, checking up on people and helping out, maybe finding out some lore about place you are at and about people around you. By night, the fun starts, at first subtly, but later you will have more and more bizarre sightings. By night, anything that moves, I recommend you run away from... Honestly you've been playing games, so you know a lot about it and falling into traps.
Lastly I would like to thank all people who pushed me back to this project. After all bureaucracy happening at University and some other problems, this project will light my day. Thanks people and I will see if I can please you with a game.
