I can do spooky... until it comes down to hospitals, especially mental institutions. Too much unstable energy for this witch in the majority of those places. I know there are things out there we are not meant to know about and I would rather not be anywhere near them.

No problem with the colonial places, old castles/churches or prisons. But as soon as mental instability comes into place, there are all kinds of doors opened that I would rather not play with. My pocket of charms and trinkets will only protect me so far!

I would agree with you that there would be what I would call lots of negative energy in places like that though I am not an expert in such things. 😛 I know much more about chemistry and physics. 😛 I believe though perhaps one day when we know enough areas like the occult and supernatural will be united with the world of science. After all in a sense anything we dont understand tends to be put in that 😱ccult" area. Tis why I always liked the poem by TS Elliot

I always felt the rose symbolized perfect love and the fire symbolized perfect knowledge. When both are united I think we will grow as a species. 😀

I also like to keep an open mind about everything. I think for me that was always useful in science. My former teacher always believed that and I learned a lot from him. 😀

I have had only an encounter or two with some strange things not too many though. The few I had were mainly cause I think my father had a lot of antiques and some of those old items had negative energy in them. One I think in the form of a ghost.

That's a beautiful poem. Love and knowledge are very powerful. Look at the things we have created with both. I think we do grow as a species when the two merge. Unfortunately, that love also gets corrupted and we materialize such horrific nightmares as well... in our love of our gods and countries and even for each other. We are a strange species at times...

True, keeping that open mind in science can help a lot. It allows you to see other possibilities and maybes to explore. I think one needs to be able to play a bit in the fantasy realms and toss around science fiction to be able to create and discover. There has to be a freedom and openness in one's thoughts otherwise one can get stuck in some concrete rut.

Antiques have always been an interesting area to me for that very reason. Energy can be tangled with an object in a number of ways. I love going through antique stores and seeing objects like brushes and vanity mirrors. They are always so pretty, but unfortunately I know enough and believe enough to stay away from buying such personal items. It really isn't all that uncommon for people to take such items home and experience some sort of energy anomaly, either good or bad. After all, no one knows exactly what happens to the energy that was a person after their demise.

Yes I agree we are an odd species at times capable of such great acts of courage and compassion on the one hand and yet acts of great cowardice and cruelty on the other. I like to think at some point we will get it all right.

Open mindness was I thought my most powerful tool in science. Unfortunately it was rarely shared by my superiors. There are a lot of reasons why I switched careers from science to art. One main one was to help take care of my parents but the other was to find a way to release all my creative energies.

My father collected a lot of antiques though we dont have as much stuff as we use to. I always liked antiques too since I was around them alot. I am inclined to agree with you about those things not always being so wise to have. Fortunately we have been lucky in that regard and not had anything really bad happen. I always felt that evil forces need despair or fear in a place to take root. I am by no means an expert though. I guess though there will always be a balance between good and evil. I just have always felt obligated though to make sure evil does not tilt things too much on its side. LOL 😀
