Well if you HAVE to ask...

LOL LOTS! GET USED TO IT!! So does a DM have to pre-design the whole thing BEFORE you begin gameplay? Or can they design a bit of it and the overall idea, and keep adding things do it as you go? I'm supposed to go play next weekend, and I really don't think between a few days ago and this coming Friday he's going to be creating some mind-blowing gameplay.

Dave was always prepared with something, but every now and then, he'd just wing it for fun. A lot of times, he'd even modify a module adventure so it better fit in with the direction that the group was moving in. Don't expect everything to be off the hook the first couple weeks. At low level, your characters are weak, undeveloped and poorly equipped. Large rats can kill them, for fuck's sake...lol Give it a couple weeks to begin character development and you'll be having a blast in no time.

Why is the 1st edition easier to understand? Just because there are less classes and races?

Because everything is less complex in 1st edition. As with anything else, as newer editions came out, more content was added which always tends to complicate things. But you're smart, so you can handle it. Doesn't hurt to have a good DM and other players who are into it.

Do you know Jay called us nerds for having these discussions?

Okay, I gotta ask two questions now.

First of all, which Preacher book was your favourite, and who is your favourite character?!

Damn it, we should all play sometime. I've never played the tabletop game, per say, but I used to be addicted to a NWN1 roleplay server that emulated it fairly well.

Do you miss me?
Of course! Do you miss me?

Dave sounds like he knew what the fuck was up.

I figure for the first little while it'll be semi-boring because I can't do much. I mean...that's kind of how WoW operates. But it won't be so bad, these first few times will genuinely be my first REAL play so I'll have lots of questions and things to learn. My mind will be occupied. I had to seriously laugh though, because in our first quest, our main adversary was a bear we ran into in the woods. My playing partner didn't see it coming so I was the one who had to make the decision of what to do. Long of the short is, she basically had a bear handprint across her face and I got her knocked out. LOL

LOL OH DID HE NOW!!! Sounds to me like Jay plays.

😀😀😀 OH MY YES.

Okay so...for hotness factor, hands down Jesse. He's a man's man. For funny as hell factor, Herr Starr. And as for my favorite, I really, really like the last one. I think that's where the funniest shit came from with Herr Starr. (Btw, Jesse with eyepatch? *SWWWWOOOOOOOONNN!!!*)

I am so down for this.

If we ever do this, I am totally fucking IN!!!!

Do you know what skills are best to take for a starting rogue?

Too bad we all live so far apart. 🙁 We could have amazing D&D weekends.

I don't, no. Can you do a comparison for me of Rogues Vs. Rangers?

Yes, we would have the best D&D parties.

Rangers don't exist in 1st edition, hon. Rogues, on the other hand, need a high dex. Wouldn't hurt to have good int and wis, maybe even charisma if you're planning to use sleight of hand type skills (gambling, lying and such). Alertness is a definite for everyone. Weapon mastery will allow you to start out skilled in one weapon instead of basic. Can't remember if ambidexterity is in 1st edition or not. If it is, take it. It's good for dual wielding weapons. Always make sure you take at least one skill that benefits the whole party (magical engineering, tracking and so on).

Also, while a bow is the obvious choice for a range weapon, it wouldn't hurt to be skilled eventually with daggers, as they make great short-range throwing weapons. We once had a character in our party who wore a bandoleer of daggers for just that purpose.

Oh yeah, and as a rule, I never played a human. Humans can't see in the dark and nothing ruins trying to sneak thru a dungeon more than having to carry a torch. Elves, dwarves and halflings can all see in the dark. 🙂

Are you writing all this down? LOL

You have no idea how happy I am that I have you mentoring me. LOL
And I just spoke with her online and she said I'm working from edition 3.0 so I guess a ranger is still in the running. Now can I get an overview of them too? 😀

Hair brushed or unbrushed? Up or down? And would you ever consider doing a hair brushing/play video if requested of you?

Brushed and up. What's hair brush play?
Not my intent to do so , pretty lady.

How would you suggest one compliment a fine , young woman like yourself w/o making her feel like an asshole?

LOL I know, it's not your fault, I just feel like an asshole when I get compliments. I prefer to give them, not receive them.

I meant a combination hair brushing and hair playing video. Like a video where the first half is of you brushing out your hair with your back to the camera and then after that, playing with your hair with your fingers, like lifting it up in your hands and then letting it fall repeatedly 😀

Rest assured , I will never compliment you again. 😛

You know what? I could use some good e-praise. Care to pay me a compliment?
