My time lurking here and at the Theater turned up these little gems. Not outright tickle-centered material (I think the comic itself was more focused around BDSM), but it proves that publishers were at least aware of this little kink. Just turned 50 seriously thought I was the only one who was turned on by tickling while growing up in the 60s and 70s. I could have never dreamed that I would have the access to the subject I have today. If I had this kind of access in the 80s and 90s I wouldnt have spent so much money to satisfy my needs for tickling material.
 
I think that people 50 years ago were too busy churning butter, gelding horses, buidling barns, and inventing fire to worry about tickling.

It's an interesting question you ask. I believe we are the first true generation of tickle lovers. It's not that no one knew how fun and kinky it can be, it's just that today's society, with television, the movies, the internet, magazines bombards us with sexy images of people in ticklish situations. Plus, we're just that freaking horny!!! Here's to generation TICKLE!!

Plenty of tickling went on back in the day, but without the internet events like NEST were impossible.

You tickled the one you were with and hoped for the best, I guess.

I remember this couple in the back seat, maybe 40 years ago, and he was tickling her for maybe 20 minutes, and she had a great laugh that didn't quit. I wish I had been the ler. Problem was I was driving.
