I was actually speaking on the behalf of unpaid artists, who get nothing back but praises, and sometimes not even praise, for all their efforts.

It must feel awful doing stuff for ungrateful guys who won't even stop by and post a measly one-liner to say "thanks" or "f*ck".
THAT is some *imperial* waste of time.

Hmm, I do often consider my drawing to be a waste of time, as my degree is soon to be in music. But praise, of which I've gotten enough for my casual sketches, has nothing to do with it being a waste of time. Frankly, I get a big boner for my efforts, and that's worth all the gold in the world.

You're a lucky git, man.
At first I was quite embarassed with my stuff.
I couldn't watch my pics without nitpicking about flaws, details, techniques.
I usually forgot about the action itself.

The adult nature of the pics made me uneasy.
Add to that, the flaws I saw kept me from showing them.
Going uphill, eh?

Then - somehow - dimes started rolling in, I felt happier about it, and now I actually have some fun doing tk art...
Still, when my pics fail to impress, I feel like shit.

The day I'll really starting drawing for myself, I'll be a much happier, healthier man.

each artist is unique in their own way..so i can't really say i have a favorite..i enjoy LBD enormously...and i like fmiling..and scavenger..and Kalamos..and Bella is fantastic...i also like Ilinoh uh spelling? lol..and c. tickler..oo and Augustine..i must say i really enjoy a drawing with a story attached..like a cartoon series and the like..and i was a big fan of Dave2112 from the tmf..love the 3d artwork..oo and Cheshire Cat...damn see? too many to name..and i'll think of more later lol..oo i did just think..Jerrik of course..

And on the subject of "who's my favourite artist"... when it comes to Tickle Theater I really have to side with Isabeau as well. There are a lot of amazing artists which I all like for their own different styles, artwork and ideas. It's difficult to compare and it's even more difficult to say... "Yes, that's the one!" I can only try to name all the artists I like with the risk of forgetting one or two and I would not like that, so for now at least I'm not saying any names. When it comes to all-time favourite artists, they're definitely Japanese. I love manga/anime.

Back in again

I wanted to chime in again. I know I mentioned myself (frankly because I'm feeling self serving at the moment) and BAC, Saudelli and Redder. I wanted to mention Chadpet. If not for him I don't think I'd do the tickling art. I always did my superhero stuff thanks to Michael Golden, John Byrne, George Perez, Gil Kane and so on. But I think Chadpet influenced my decision in doing my first tickling pieces. I didn't try to imulate him, but he made me realize that my two passions could work well together. So, Thank You Chadpet, where ever you are.
