I have Elfen Lied but I havent gotten round to watching it. Maybe I should.

I know Elfen Lied but I've not seen it... I did however finish Maburaho last night, and am in the process of watching Pani Poni Dash and Shuffle! (exclamation point is part of the title). Still need to finish watching Pretty Cure, and Naruto... I've got to go and borrow the remaining episodes off of my friend. XD
 
Maburaho is complete? I downloaded it (as I think I told you) but you said the English version was better so I'm waiting til I get home and I'm gonna watch the ones I got from Netflix. (it's slightly more legal that way, too)
I watched the first two episodes of Pretty Cure and found it to be quite silly. XP I may or may not watch the rest of it.
 
Could you point me in the direction of somewhere to get Full Metal Alchemist by any chance? I've seen the first 6 eps I think, and would love to see the rest!

I forget where I got mine. Watch it in English or Japanese as they are both extremely well done. I'd say go with the English though. But that's just me as I tend to avoid subtitles where I can. I find it annoying that I have to have my eyes glued to one part of the screen constantly.

This series is long (51 eps plus a moie which I've not seen) but it is totally worth it. It's definately a favorite of mine (and about a gazillion people agree with me). I'm glad you managed to catch the beginning. If one were to start watching in the middle it would make so little sense that they'd quickly give up on it.

Some subtitled stuff can be good too. I'd recently bought Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and I tried watching it with subtitles on. The subtitles aren't always the same as what's being spoken, so it could almost be like getting two different versions that way.
 
^The version of FFVII:AC I have is japanese with subtitles, and though I do understand the whole subtitles being a bit destracting bit, you can grow somewhat used to them after watching something with them enough.
 
Subtitles are a matter of opinion. Especially when they're done by people in Hong Kong whose native language is neither Japanese nor English.

Still, you know, Nessie, you could have pointed out the legal way to obtain FMA...

you could go out and BUY Full Metal. On Amazon it's between $20 and $27 for each 4 episodes. (list price is $30)
So you COULD spend $300 or so on the series if you have that kind of money to throw around. Actually you'd have to wait until the whole thing is released which I don't think it is. It's a great series and all...but anime is WAY WAY WAY overpriced. I'd buy it if it were more reasonable...but they're just rediculous.
If you want a cheap but legal way to see it you could borrow them from a friend who aquired them legally or you could rent them from netflix or a video store and NOT make copies of them or you could wait for the series to start over on AS. All legal, all cheap, all Jay approved. =^_^=
 
I dont know. I'd say "no" but I remember hearing of a network trying to get their shows taken off of bit torrent but a court sayihng that if they're free for people to watch on tv they were allowed to be shared online. So Im not sure.

As they are in Sweeden, their laws make them basically immune to prosecution by copyright lawyers. Sweden seems to be really good with its laws 😵 .

Well I'm glad one of them works. 🙂 They all open ok for me though, for some odd reason.
 
I think you've got permissions that we don't... ahh well.

I can see how YouTube might actually be considered legal, though. It's the same issue as VCRs and how taping a show is not illegal either.
