Oh, I do agree. As much as I do love Robert's work, most of his girls are the same face with different hair. But that face..... 🙂 Makes me happy in my black little heart. His bondage situations are sublime. And, it IS nice to see that wide-eyed look in an art form that isn't anime for a change.

There are a lot of great artists out there (you among them!), and we have a wealth of styles to chose from. Something about Roberts' work just does it for me. The funny thing is...if you look at his older work, there was a far wider range of "personalities". And yes...I totally agree on the curves. Too many pencil-thins in fetish art.

What you said about the wide-eyed look? Absolutely true. I'm entirely sick of all the anime knock-off kiddies running around the internet, and that goes double for the ones who can't seem to get the style down. So much of what's out there is generic cartoon drawing with anime elements tacked to it, but Roberts draws honest to God cartoons that are attractive.

Also, many thanks for considering me amongst the great artists, though it is hard for me to look at my own work when compared to some others and think I'm even worth viewing.

You know I was just shitting, right? You're a big reason I've been throwing up those craptastic old covers as long as I have in this thread. Your damsels-in-distress art is perfectly aligned with everything that's great about this topic, Bella Donna.
I love everything that Dave2112 brings to the table, and was actually learning something about an artist I was previously completely in the dark about from listening to you two discuss his merits and weaknesses.

What I'd really like to stumble across is an assortment of covers from those equally sleazy 70's & 80's "True Crime"-type magazines. Two-out-of-any-three would feature a photo of some woman in some form of bondage, along with really ghastly headlines for stories inside about the vilest of murderers and sadists.
