Are you lying in bed recovering from the Giants 16-4 crush of the Angels last night? It had to be painful to watch from there.

I actually think the best part of last night was when Dusty's son ran out on the field. Thank heavens one of the players grabbed him but boy that kid is enthusiastic and cute as the dickens.

OK, so we got our asses kicked. But I give credit to the Giants, especially Jeff Kent, and yes, J.T. Snow (a former Angel, for those who don't know) did a great deed in saving Dusty's little boy from getting run over at home plate. 😎
It's interesting, QB, that you said there are 2 games to go. Does that mean you think this series will go 7? Because I do! I'm such an optimist. 😀
But if SF wins it all, I'll congratulate them. And if we win the next 2 at home like Arizona did last year, then I'll try not to rub it in your face so much. 😉
I certainly hope the Angels will do better in Anaheim. Appier and Ortiz are pitching again, so let's see if they do better than that Game 2 fiasco. 🙄
P.S. On top of last night's big loss, Bonds couldn't get us free tacos! 🙁 Good luck on Saturday to both clubs. 🙂

Angels 6, Giants 5! YES, YES, YES!
Tonight the rally monkey came out in full force! The Giants were leading 5-0, including yet another Bonds homer. 🙁 Kevin Appier's pitching sucked again for Anaheim 😡, and Russ Ortiz did his job on the mound for SF. But Scott Spiezio hit a 3-run blast to make it 5-3, and after Darin Erstad's solo shot and an error by Bonds, Troy Glaus hit a 2-run double for the final score. Game 7 is tomorrow!

Forget the bet, that was all in fun, ShiningIce. The Giants played great. In fact, if Kirk Rueter had started Game 7 instead of Livan Hernandez, SF might have won instead of Anaheim, that guy's a pretty good pitcher. I also feel sorry for Dusty Baker, and when FOX showed his son crying, that was sad. It's only a game, Ice. 🙂

Game 7 came down to the managers.
In most all other games before it was who outplayed each other.
But tonight it was which manager made better decisions.
And tonight Baker's decision to start Hernandez instead of Reuter ended it all!
But great game, and our World Champs are... THE ANGELS!!!!

That was a terrific series. The Giants should have won Saturday but going into the 7th game was fabulous. There were two terrific teams, lots of records broken and the best team won.

One last post before I let this thread fade into oblivion. 😀
Though the Angels won, I still felt a little sorry for Livan Hernandez. He's not the same pitcher he was when he won the 1997 World Series MVP award when he was with the Florida Marlins. 🙁
And I know that this has been repeated endlessly in the media, but the rally in Game 6 showed that the new Red Machine never gave up. 🙂
John Lackey becoming the first rookie to win a WS Game 7 in 93 years was one of the most amazing things about this championship. 😎
Not to put down Bonds, but Anaheim's team didn't have a single superstar on it. And Troy Glaus deserved to be MVP, but the Rally Monkey should be co-MVP. 😉

The Angels do not have a superstar, but they have almost ALL really good players.
The Giants have a few really worthless players like:
Benito Santiago - Who is too old and out of shape to be playing
Reggie Sanders - Also too old and ready to retire!
Livan Hernandez - Come on, the guy really can't pitch!
Russ Ortiz - Has more losses than any starting pitcher in baseball!
And this postseason... Jeff Kent who couldn't make any good plays except when the Giants won 16-4.
