That's right, you read it........Tamia's freaking blogging now!
You know, I've been thinking about my stay here on the TMF, and all the friends I've made. So, what makes a friend?
We've had way too many threads about cliques and groups, and all that crap, but the simple fact of the matter is there are many of us who just "clique" together
For whatever reason, I have wonderful, hours-long conversations with some members, and with others I don't quite share that connection. Not that that's a bad thing. Maybe we're just not on the same page yet.
But, at the same time, I can't help but think that some people do have an ulterior motive for befriending others. I'm not just talking about the TMF, I'm talking real life as well.
I'm going to ask that question again.....what makes a friend?
I consider friends to be those who genuinely care about me, my well-being, and even what's going on in my life, even if they really don't care......they act like it anyways, lol. I appreciate all the calls and emails if my wonderful friends don't hear from me for a few days. These are people I can talk to about anything, and they won't judge me for my beliefs, thoughts and opinions.
Of course there are those who pretend to be friends, while all the while talking behind your back, or just generally playing games. How do we know who to look out for?
Past experiences have made me pick and choose my circle of friends very carefully. Why would I want to have people around me who bring me down?
On the other hand, it bothers me. Because of past experiences, I'm extremely reluctant to let anyone get close, which keeps my circle of close friends very small. I'm suspicious of those who are nice to me..........and I know that's no way to live.
Well, some of you out there actually like the cynical bitch that I am, and trust me, I love you all right back, lol.
Just some stuff on my mind.
