Amnesiac's NEST PHOTOS (Finally)

I personally think this about sums it up...

<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e81/cybermonkey22/?action=view&current=big1705722.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e81/cybermonkey22/big1705722.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Ha wow. After going through this thread I have to admit this is some of the funniest non needed drama ive seen in a good bit. I actually just came in to post hey to all of those I met at NEST and even those who couldnt make it(love ya 2 lol). And to say......did anyone see that basketball game last night? Good shit huh?

I think the best Mel Brooks movie was 'Elephant Man,' but that isn't a comedy. It's a drama and very well done.

My favorite comedy of his is 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." I do love Zero Mostel.

As for this post, I agree with Myr et. al. However, I do know Amnesiac and he's a cool guy and I can hear his cackle.

So I will make a promise to all you that were offended: I will kick Amnesiac's ass next NEST. That's not a joke, that's a literal "I'm going to kick him in the butt with my foot." It's a tradition he and I have. Dating back to our second NEST, the roots of which buried in the first.

So take heart.

I'd address the issue of whether there are or aren't cliques, but that would derail an already-hijacked thread. I'll simply say that even if there are cliques, there are plenty of not-cliques there. If you can come to NEST, come to NEST. If you can't, come to a munch or another gathering. If that doesn't work, hell, shoot me a PM; I love talking with members from the community!

Jim

How do you even get to take photos at NEST? The times I went to NEST I was told right off in the printed rules & cyber-rules that it wasn't allowed, so I didn't press the issue. And I'm a photographer.

I think the policy has been amended since then. My understanding this year was that people would notify the NEST team whether they consented or did not consent to be photographed. And they would be given a wristband according to that choice so people taking pictures would know.

This is correct. Anyone who wanted to be in photos signed a model
release, and received a special distinguishing wristband. However, it
was still with the understanding that the photos taken by the official
NEST photographer/videographer would only be shared with those who
attended NEST. Any photos shared with others would have to be shared
with the consent of everyone in said photo(s).

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! GOTCHA! PM me nicely and you get to see...Oh by the way...did I mention you have to have BEEN A NEST attendee to see them? If you didn't go...too bad, you should have.

Thank you for the pic. The Thread's title shouldn't be suggesting something plural and there shouldn't be "finally", which is like an ultimatum of collective things to see. It's a great misrepresentation.

The thread is attractive enough to poke curiosity, especially of dormant members who are impossible to make it to NEST because they are stuck in big ice cube. It doesn't mean we feel bad. After seeing this thread only to find "hahahaha" to those who haven't been there, I feel a bit "pic-rolled"....... I understand that some jokes run like this. Some people read circle as square at times.

Well just don't take what I say personally as well. Actually I don't need any explanation now. I can read between the lines.

Here are a few pics from NEST that I have permission to share,
all taken by the great and nonpowerful Amnesiac :typerhappy:

1) Me hugging my Mommy's leg ^^

2) Team Jomanda pwning herself! :slapfight:

3) Team Jomanda comforting herself :aww:

Ok, forgive my curiosity, Mondy. Why were the other pictures Amnesiac took that were of people who consented to be photographed and put their pictures on the forum taken down, but these three were put up in the same thread?

Btw, the third picture is particularly adorable.

Because the other pics he took were of people who consented
to be photographed and have their pictures shared with other
NEST'ees only. Jo and I both agreed to share these photos with
the entire forum. We can't do that for the other photos, obviously.

And thankies. ^^

Okay, why not next time at NEST, there be a photographer that takes pictures with the sole purpose of posting them in a thread like this...but REALLY posts them.... and those the people who don't want to be in his/her pictures get out of the way?

This would give those who want to attend an idea what to expect, and show us who can't attend what it's all like. I don't like the whole clique/laugh in our faces thing either, but it is what it is. I mean, both threads started in the public area of the fourm, and the most visited on top of that. Yeah, it was assholey, but oh well. I've dealt with cliques before, and this is just how it is.

And then on the other side, those who went and are considering being photographed...big deal. I've been reading Ivy and Haley's blog, and they tell their college professors and friends they're strippers and star in tickle videos...and no one even cares! The pictures were discovered by the dean, and she didn't even talk them out of posing, just wanted to know if they were safe.
So that's something to think about if you want to make your faces public...even though we already have a Member's picture section with hundreds of member's pictures, ...but I digress.

Most people only agreed to have their photos taken because
they wouldn't be shared with the public, but just other attendees
who already saw them in person anyway. I'm not one of them, so
I happily shared a few of my photos with everyone. It's not a clique
issue, it's a privacy issue. And there are plenty of NEST threads that
describe in incredible detail what happens at NEST. So if you truly
want to get an idea of what to expect, I highly recommend reading
some of those. If you want specific thread recommendations, please
let me know and I'll be happy to give you some links. I don't know who
Ivy or Haley are, but not everyone is okay with their kinkiness being
made public. It's a personal choice not up for debate in most cases.
I hope you enjoy the photos that do end up consentually being posted,
and that you understand why not everyone will allow theirs to be put
up.

Because NEST is a "private event". People keep forgetting that. It's done to protect the privacy of those who want it that way. Great strides are taken to insure of that. After spending 1000 bucks for the trip as so many else did, I sure as hell don't think I need to "get out of the way". It's my event as much as everyone else's.

This would give those who want to attend an idea what to expect, and show us who can't attend what it's all like.
Nahhh, a pic won't teach you a darn thing that the hundreds of threads on the subject can't. Let's assume that those wanting pics under those pretense don't just want free tickling pics, then what will two people sitting on a couch together, or at a dinner table in a picture teach? Absolutely nothing. There are a ton of tribute threads, funny things that happen at NEST, what to expect threads on the event to learn all you need to want to come. Because if seeing all the positive things said about it doesn't make someone want to go, a pic of two people waving won't either.

Sorry, but I find this post to be rather ignorant. It reinforces the negative stereotype that some folks have (not me, FYI) about gatherings being very exclusive. Whether or not any harm was meant, it was extremely bad form.

True but I would also think some people who go to the event dont want to be part of some peoples' spanktravision here.

Im gonna come up with a pseudonym and go to NEST undercover shooting a documentary about the "SECRET SOCIETY OF THE TMF!"

Somehow NEST will be the culprit of global warming and me not being able to grow a proper goatee, I WILL PROVE IT!

But until i prove my logic, Go here for your tickle multimedia needs

Okay, this thread is getting more attention than I want, so here I am again.

I HAVE AN IDEA.

The whole Byzantine system of rules about the photos--specifically why my photos can't be shown and everybody else's can be--has to do with me. And I'll quickly explain why.

About a year and a half ago I was watching The Notorious Bettie Page, a biopic about Bettie Page's start as a fetish model. When I got to the part where Paula Klaw was being forced to destroy her collection--but surreptitiously hiding some of it away--I shook my head thinking "Man, those people had NO idea how valuable those things would be in 50 years" and then I realized something: back then, in a pre-internet, pre-60s society, nobody had a clue that these photos and films were records of the beginning of the modern fetish movement...today, we can avoid that mistake. Most other fetishes managed to creep into mainstream vision by the 80s--albeit misunderstood--but tickling was virtually non-existent to the world until the internet...and NEST had become the flagship gathering for ticklephiles worldwide. In the future, NEST will be thought of and referred to as the birthplace of the tickling community. Try to imagine an hour-long VH1 documentary in 2040 and you'll get the idea.

That's when I thought: "Hey...we actually have a chance to document the birth of a fetish and its growing years! No other fetish has been able to DO that!"

The idea was a tough sell because not every member of the TMF is one of the Facebook generation and guard their privacy zealously. But, the combination of gumption, faith, and morbid curiosity motivated NEST team to take a chance on yours truly and see what would happen. So I was semi-formally elected to be the kind-of-official NEST chronicler...with clearance to take photographs and video that no one else was.

MY PHOTOS ARE DIFFERENT BECAUSE I TOOK JOURNALISTIC SHOTS; EVERYBODY ELSE TOOK "POSED" SHOTS WITH FRIENDS.

I took pictures when people weren't looking; everybody else took pictures with people who said it was okay to photograph them. So when Skippy and Mondy post pictures, they post pictures that were okay to be taken in the first place (the people in them said so)...but in MY pictures, people in them didn't always have a say in being in them, so they have to be reviewed and okayed by the people in them in order to be shown.

So it's ME. Because I was given great powers, I was also given great responsibility...and anyone who's read Spider-Man knows the painful but sobering truth about sacrificing fun & games for the greater good. That's why my stuff is different...not because anybody "LIKES me more than others", not because "I'm COOLER" or because "I KNOW THE RIGHT PEOPLE", but because of the responsibility that comes with the task. If a security company posted footage of you scratching your balls/ass while waiting in line at the ATM, you'd be pissed wouldn't you? That's the dilemma I have to face, and I have to follow the moral high ground.

And by now it should be well known I hope that the first post in this thread was a victim of Clusterfuck Disease from birth and that everything offensive that can be inferred from it is completely accidental.

Oh and while I'm here I may as well mention that I have added 5 new photos to the account, so anyone who has the address and password should go check it out.

^ Thanks for sharing the nice pics. I really appreciate seeing these, after all it is what the title of the thread is all about.

-o0o-

Now I no longer feel 'Pic-Rolled'. Yeah, I could be as shallow as that, but just because there is a hoopla behind. I'm done now.

I took photos at NEST in 2000 with verbal permission from all parties depicted (a tough sell before Facebook & MySpace) and only myself, hosts Max Speer & Mr. Hyde got copies of the photos. I can tell you, the pictures aren't going to be worth anything in 50 years. And without a signed contract, I - or my estate - couldn't seriously release them as "historical content" anyway without visits from lawyers of the survivors in the photos. It's a fetish party, not the Hindenberg. The Klaw models signed "in perpetuity" releases.

Also, I paint. Anyone wants to avoid the mistake of not recognizing a brilliant & gifted artist during his lifetime, buy my paintings. Check out my TMF blog photos, then open up that checkbook!

So I was semi-formally elected to be the kind-of-official NEST chronicler...with clearance to take photographs and video that no one else was.

Who grants this clearance? What is the basis of the selection? Guests of NEST have to fill out pretty specific information and hand it in. In return, those who go to NEST might also want to know how and who is making the decisions reguarding their privacy and image rights.

but in MY pictures, people in them didn't always have a say in being in them, so they have to be reviewed and okayed by the people in them in order to be shown.

That sentence just looks so questionable. Again, with the rules in place that I've seen/read, how can that even happen? "People didn't always have a say." ? Doesn't that seem like a grevious breach of security? That's the sentence the prosecuter will hang ya with.

It's not a public street. It's not about getting permission after the picture was taken - it's being taken it in a private, non-mainstream function without the pre-consent of the participants there. TTD had a behind-the-scenes issue a few years ago at NEST that he dealt with, properly, behind the scenes (although I don't think he's been back since because of the issue) - yet, openly, there's photo snappin' going in a compromising & intimate situation without written or verbal permission of the attendees?

I have an idea, too: Make it easy. No photography at NEST.

Nothing against Amnesiac. He's a reasonable guy. Lot's of fun. Morally responsible - like most of the people who get through the screening to attend NEST. It's the people who allowed cameras in who took a bad risk in allowing it to happen. Here's why -

Whatever happens in the hotel rooms is not specifically connected with NEST (folks just happen to be having tickle parties in a hotel.... all at the same time.... at the NEST group rate...), so if any photos are taken in the private hotel rooms - and/or these photos get released to the general public - that's how life goes.

It's not connected with NEST, specifically. Thus, privacy issues can be hashed out away from the TMF website and whomever ends up in a VH1 documentary 40 years from now can take legal action against the photographer and not against the creators of NEST, which would effectively shut the event down. If it's around that far in the future.

Honestly, if NEST is so big that it needs to be documented for history then it's gotten too big. Or it needs to be opened up to mainstream visitors.

Honestly, everyone... JUST CHILLAX FOR A MINUTE! 😛

Let's keep stuff about NEST fun and leave the legal matters and jargon when the proverbial "shit hits the fan". 😛
