That depends on the scanner you're planning on buying. Do you plan on by one that's just a scanner? Or do you want one that can also print, fax, or connect to the camera?

some scanners are also a hybrid of being a printer/copier/scanner in one, though I have'nt heard of any that connect to cameras, I assumed cameras had their own cord to connect to the PC or at least a device that you put in the camera's memory card in....but we're going off-topic
