When I saw this thread, I thought about posting, but then decided it might be too inflammatory...but seeing as how the golden keys people have chimed in, I have little fear. First, one note:
That's a rather crass and ignorant statement to make. To say that would be the same as stating the only men who come to the TMF or make use of the internet at all are desperate lonely men who can't get a woman to notice their existance in real life.

I. The Weight Issue
In a nutshell, what KIS and BELLA and STEPH (just to name a few) have said is pretty much right: there are more fans of plus-sized women than are admitted. For myself, I tend to gravitate towards the thinner ones, but I'll be damned if I don't admit that I like a woman with some meat on her...look at nudy pictures and porno from the turn-of-the century; no runway princesses there, but DAMN, a lot of them were sexy.
I think the drawing line is indication-by-weight; it's not so much whether a woman is thin or not, but rather if she looks HEALTHY or not. A robust woman can look as nice as a skinny woman if it looks natural...but if she looks like an Olsen twin skeleton or a walking imitation of Jabba the Hutt, it can be downright disgusting. And unfortunately the extremes are the cases by which most people of various sizes are usually tagged.

Most people won't admit they find a plus sized person attractive IS the social effect; a guy will never admit he finds a large woman attractive because he will never live it down. A lot of women mistake a man's silence as contempt; that he is ASHAMED to be seen with you. Most often that's not the case. Most often it's because his friends, no matter HOW MUCH THEY MAY PERSONALLY AGREE WITH HIM, will NEVER STOP FUCKING WITH HIM once they find out. And as any married woman will tell you, most guys never do grow up all the way. It's not necessarily that they don't like them or are ashamed of them...they mostly just want to get through a day without being harassed by the very people they can't get away from.

II. The RACE Issue
KIS and BELLA are just a few living examples that ticklishness comes in many colors (oohhhhhhhhhh sweet variety!). But the fact that this issue comes up all over this discussion forum probably requires some addressing.
Black people and white people are NOT THAT DIFFERENT; they have the same wants, needs, concerns, interests and reactions. The difference is that people BELIEVE THEY MUST BE different. Given the history of Black and White culture in America, there's pleanty of "reasons" to perpeutate difference. Both black and white societies have tried so damn hard over the decades to establish themselves as apart from another that they can no longer relate to each other.
You want to know why there's so few black roles in Hollywood? Because white culture is so well promoted that even non-Whites undestand the cultural references; the reverse is not true. If you create a black lead or black heroine, you're gonna have to explain why they behave in a fashion so traditionally white, not for the black viewers, but for the white viewers whose only experience with African-Americans is the latest episode of COPS.
There was a mediocre comedy in 1993 called Amos N' Andy with Nic Cage and Sam Jackson. There's a scene where both Amos and Andrew are in the house of a neighbor looking for their car keys when Amos (Cage) pulls out some bondage gear...to which Andrew (Jackson) replies by shaking his head, rolling his eyes and muttering "White people."
This little tidbit indicates a general viewpoint...white people are kinky, black people are not. White people go crazy, black people just get mad. You see this reflected in jokes and television all the time: the white people are crazy, the black women are just mean and sassy(shades of Omarosa anyone?). If you think I'm full of it, just look at the casting decisions for reality TV alone.
This reflects more of the cultural imperatives than it does the reality. The fact is that black or white, BOTH have the same level of ticklishness and BOTH are open to it...the only question is which one is MORE LIKELY to admit it and accept it? Maybe the cultural make-up of most African-American society prevents it from being as open or receptive to it as white culture (another thread for another day, if you ask me), but this whole "Are women of color MORE/LESS..." is bullshit. There are no differences, only in the likelihood of getting a willing admission and participant...and that's not genetic or racial, that's CULTURAL.
All in all, as far as I'm concerned, everything boils down to just one thing for me...

When I was in college I had a good friend who had a crush on me and tickled me all the time. She was actually heavier than I was and would pin me down and torture me until I finally said uncle or whatever other word she mandated. As you can imagine, I held out as long as I could since I loved it.
One night we were watching a movie with Don Johnson and Rebecca Demorney (she was his lawyer) and another friend of hers was over her apartment watching it with us. I'm often a bit of a smart ass and kept making annoying comments. After warning me to stop, they both attacked me. I was the first time in my life that I had been tickled by two women at once. It was also the first time that saying uncle or mercy did not stop the tickling. They kept going despite the fact that I could not breathe and was literally begging them to stop. I was on my stomach and both of them sat on top of me. My friend was at my feet (her favorite place to tickle) and her friend was sitting on my shoulders and tickling my ribs, sides and armpits. My friend even bit and chewed on my toes and feet as she often did. it was torture but lots of fun. They didn't stop until they were good and ready. Ok, I'll bite.....
As a BBW who is about to go into the Tickle Mistress business, I find that since coming to the forum, I have had more male attention than at any other time in my life. I'm upfront with people. I tell them what my values are, my goals and what I will not do. I also let them know if they ask, that the pic of me in the TMF members section is not current. I have longer hair, I'm bigger and I wear specs(may be having lasic surgery to correct that) Other than a few oddballs who made some unpleasant comments, I haven't had a problem. They hear how incredibly TICKLISH I am and that's all they care about. That brings up another issue but I won't post it here. All in all, my weight(and its going down) does not seem to be an issue on this or any other forum(I belong to four)

Since you quoted me I have to assume that you were at least in part directing this towards me. First, I owe nobody an apology. I did not write anything negative about anybody here. Did I make a generalization? Yes I did. In fact I even clarified it and stated that it was based on personal experience. I did not use such words as always, never, or any other absolutes. Honestly, I still stick by that statement. If you want blame me for making generalizations then fine, but almost everybody in this thread has made generalizations including yourself.
A bigger woman no matter how big can be very very sexy and attractive. It all depends on how they carry themselves and take care of themselves. Im not ashamed to admit anything..none the less that I like big women. Im one of the very few people that you'd ever meet that dont give a fuck about what the book says..another words..im not a robot of society! I had a girlfriend once when I was bout ooo, 18 or 19 years old. I've avoided this thread like the plague but I've read it since it's inception. I hate the idea of offending someone and I would never want to hurt someone's feelings. Reality is, though, that all of us are physically attracted to different things. This forum is uncomfortably dominated by foot lovers, for example, in MY opinion. It is more socially common for people of both sexes to be attracted to people of a more fit body style. That is natural based on biology. Having said that, there are folks that are more attracted to thin or heavy. It really doesn't matter and we shoulod be proud of what makes us happy.
Personally, I don't mind "curvy" but sloppy heavy is a problem for me. That's only a personal preference. Conversly, some girls won't look at a balding guy (like me). There's a big difference for me between someone who is a little heavy and someone who just let's themself go to pot.
Now that's only from a physical attraction point of view. All of us deserve the same amount of respect and I would treat everyone with the same.
This thread is especially devoted to the idea of heavier people being more ticklish or not and I have no experience with that so I cannot comment. I just had to put in my 2 cents. My feeling is, have fun in life and there's always someone out there that does it for you. I hope my comments don't offend any plus sized folks because that would make me sad.

Yeah wasn't the nicest question that's for sure lol. I'd hope it wouldn't matter what size the lady was, it's got nothing to do with who she is. For the record I'm underweight, and really ticklish (and into tickling, obviously) but I know I'd still be a rampant ticklephile if I were 1000 lbs or more lol. The whole thing about body types is such a load of crap anyways.

*rolling eyes* Oh, geez! This is SUCH an offensive reply, I really hope you have taken the time to apologize to any heavy-set female members of the Forum who may have been offended. I Myself take offense as a former heavy-set girl; I was ticklish back then and still continue to be. I never appreciated the tickling for the attention, rather, for the unexplainable sensual and sexual excitement it brought Me.

I won't hold my breath waiting for apologies. There are people in this world who think their opinions are more important than their effect on others.
Like I said in a previous post, my children weren't born in a test tube so it means that there are men out here who love plus sized and queen sized women. They appreciate that there's more to us than how society says we should look.
