Who was the first person you started talking to on TMF (if you can remember)?
I'll always remember that. I've been around for a long time but on delurked last May. I sent a pm to CrystalLight and Venray the day I delurked. At the radio shows (which is how I delurked), Baldadonis and I struck up a quick friendship. So Jo and Dave were the first two people I got to be friends with, and remain two of the closest people in my life today.

Man, this time last week, we was having the time of our lives...where did the time go???
My first impressions were great. You have to remember that the tickling community was not centralized. People used bulletin board systems like the usenet groups to communicate and a lot of people had individual website. By the TMF forming, it became a central point of the community. Yes there were still different ways to communicate and see material, but having it all under one roof was pretty fly. I loved the forum then and I do now. It keeps evolving and getting better.
My impression haven't changed, and the place is still great. Some disgruntled people will have you believe this and that about the place, but in essence they are whining, plain and simple. For those that think drama exists today, because of certain people, ages, a different time, it's really just a bunch of horseshit. I can still pull up all the old fights from 10 years ago. I showed a lot of them to someone not long ago, to show, some of the people whining and starting shit now days, in a lot of cases, were the same ones doing it a decade ago. They don't change, but would love for you to think everything else has. I know that anytime you have a place with this many people under one roof, people will bicker, but the place is still the same. I love the forum, and most of the people in it, and I think it continues to get better year after year. On top of it, more and more people are delurking every year in record numbers. It's been an awesome ride. 🙂
