I don't smoke, but if alcohol and tobacco are legal then there's no freaking reason pot shouldn't be legal. I know plenty of potheads and they're the nicest people. The only reason I've never tried pot is because I've heard it can cause pretty bad panic attacks, and since I have panic attacks to begin with I don't want to make things worse.

I do like a plant called Kratom, though. It's legal and it's effects are very similar to vicodin. You can make it into a tea or just eat the leaves.

Just like AnnieHall, I prefer it to drinking brews also. I just personally think it's smarter than drinking in every way ... During my high school/college career I smoked every day. Literally. Everything that was seen as some kind of event, ranging from going to class, going to the movies, going to the prom, or going to sit on the couch required a nice blunt before anything went down.

These days it's definitely not the same, however. I treat it exactly the same as alcohol. In other words, I would never go to work drunk, so I never ever would go to work blazed either (just one example)

It's still the best way to kick back and relax that I can think of though

well i guess im with ya falcon and im a "wanker" too, as i think the same as you do. and dont and will not do any drugs no longer but occational booze and im a heavy tobacco smoker.

HOWEVER! once apon a time i used to be a pot head, amungs many other, more stronger drugs..my body was a toxic wasteland back when..but now im a class a wanker..hey, lets start an "im a wanker" clique, what ya think?

Gotta admit, it's good to see some fellow smokers on here. Someone else already said it, but I'll run the risk of sounding repetitive in saying, I don't think it's a defining quality of who I am, but I do enjoy the green stuff.
Definitely prefer it to drinking, which has been mentioned as well. Drinking slows me down, and makes me irrational. (That's a personal thing, not applied to everyone else... I've known some very eloquent, fun drunks, I'm just not one of them)
And I understand what Alina means about getting on better with other smokers ... I think you can even see in this thread that there are just a lot of people with (I would say unfair) prejudices about pot and people who smoke it. I don't think it's as much an "exclude those who don't" as a "see who's cool with it" kind of thing.

Heh. Hehehe. I know a guy who's a big stoner that REEKS of creepy - so much so that any woman who gets anywhere near him gets skeeved. But it's not the pot's fault.



Personally, I think trying to find out who all the potheads are is just a way to make more connections, and frankly this thread looks like it could become a catalyst for some seriously illegal discussion or activity.

I've never even drank alcohol. I just don't want to ruin my body. I like natural highs, myself. Like going for walks or making models and stuff like that.

That is absurd. I'd like to know from a legit source if this statistic is true; not from the fear tactics of a police officer in a classroom.

Have you checked this out for fact yourself? I don't smoke pot but I know people who do and nobody has become a rapist yet; or at least that I know of.

There is something very pathetic about needing a chemical to generate a feeling of pleasure.

I think it's fair to assume the proportion of the human race who use chemicals to get a buzz aren't particularly bothered about your opinion on anything 😀

A lot of people do it; there's nothing wrong with not wanting to take drugs, just don't run around crowing about things you've no inclination to experience first hand. I wouldn't particularly fancy having 4 wives, but I wouldn't go around taking the piss out of polyamorous marriages just because I find the notion bizarre.
