Commentary - new art forum mod

Im not talking down to you. I dont do stuff like that. I may be repeating myself but if I am it's because I dont have any more to say on the matter. If you're gonna be a mod then be a mod, in whatever capacity that is. I'd like to see you do a good job, as would everybody.
As for anything else...Im through with it. I dont need this sort of aggravation. Im going to just continue as if nothing ever happened. I hope other people are able to do the same.

Ness, IM'ed me, that's true. But all she did was point me to something I would have noticed sooner or later myself anyway. Once I saw what was going on, I was genuinely appalled and disturbed by what I can't classify any other way than gross abuse of power.

So Celtic, all those things I said were from the heart.

Then stop post Ness. If you're only posting so your voice will be heard further then save yourself the aggrivation and just stop. I have to technically remain here as this is about me, you don't and neither does anyone else. Rather than let this ill-begotten thread get in the way, why not just continue on as usual in other thread? If you really want to continue as if nothing ever happened, then do it. Just walk away, its that simple.

The same would apply to everyone else. I know its really tempting to get a word in, but at this point, it technically doesn't matter. The decision has been made. The poll doesn't matter, and all of the anger that led up to this was in vain. It doesn't matter anymore. I would like to think we can all just move on now, but I know thats asking too much from some people.

I know this didn't turn out the way some of you wanted it to, but you should respect TT's decision. He knows what hes doing and so do I.

Well I will admit that I did skip over a few pages because reading all this crap is making my eyes water.

Anyways since this has finally became a topic I guess I will put my two cents in to what they are worth.

Umm...I have nothing against Celtic at all, I don't know the guy, believe me I know what it is like to be judged when you post a few comments and you are automatically the bad guy. But it is called a discussion forum and you are intitled to your opinion. BUT, sometimes your opinion can be pretty harsh. From what I have heard by my other fellow artists, that Celtic has been criticising their critique. Okay well not every one is perfect. If you don't like how they did the eyes or the nose or a feature of the foot, oh well that's your problem. It would be more kind to keep it to yourself. That is the whole point of being an artist, you are an individual, and your artwork expresses your individuality. Not everyone can be Picasso, or Monet. Everyone has their own critique and their own style. So, in my opinion, if you have a suggestion to help an artist to improve then go ahead, don't be rude about it and compare their work to something ugly. Now only will it irriate the artist but it can also cause them to have an artist block because they may be more concerned about what your going to say if it isn't perfect. Just be nice. I mean if I have to, then you should to. :weird:

That is a TMF issue, and it would be better if you kept it over there.

This topic has nothing to do with my critiquing of artwork. And if this is all coming to you from word of mouth only, I'd strongly suggest you actually go and read the thread in question yourself, on the TMF.

Well I left the TMF in Nov....I'm saying it has nothing to do with the TMF, it has to do with artists that are my friends. I could care less about what goes on at the TMF. It was just a suggestion to maybe cool down and not be as rude as you may seem.

And in case anyone mentions that this does have something to do with critiques because I'd be the art mod, then the only thing it has to do with me is that I would allow critiquing, after a fashion. More particularly to the sentiments and likeness of Myriads and Dave on the TMF, and how they handled it. Thats ideal and fair.

Seem? Sorry, but if you don't even know for a fact or are oblivious I wouldn't just take your friends' word for it without even hearing my side out. But since I don't want to drag that over here, thats why I refer you to the thread so that you might see how it went down.

Don't simply take someone's word for it, even if they are your friends. They will often have their own agendas or reasons for feeling that way. Since you and I have no history it would be a shame to be at odds with me because of something you've been 'cautioned' about from someone else.

Well, simply put, they might have said mean things about me. Things that would make you wary to talk to me, associate with me, or dare I say, even befriend me. I've been watching you as an artist and I like your attitude and dispostion as well as your art, for example. I've watched and observed whereas it seems you are getting your information of me from friends rather than from a personal evaluation.

Thats all I'm saying.

No. I don't. I do however use my laptop, and its nearby when I work and/or take breaks. I have all the basic services on, and that includes keeping open windows and Instant Messengers. When someone replies to a thread, it sends me a messege that someone has. Thats why I'm so prompt and quick at replying.

I can understand though how that might be misunderstood as me not having a life or something. I assure you I do. I just have the convienience of having a laptop with a wireless internet connection.

Theres nothing fun about this thread, but thankfully the mood is under control and everyone has simmered down a bit. Hopefully TT will get here soon to bury it.
