This also brings Rousch Racing up to the most truck wins ever at Daytona. Ba BOOM!

Tony is so THE MAN! Driving Kevin Harvick's Busch car, I believe. When he was interviewed prior to the race yesterday he said, "I'm just gonna get in it and hold it wide open all the way around."

As it happens, I have not yet seen the race. I had to be somewhere today. But it's tivo'd and I will watch it a bit later on.

Tomorrow, though, I go nowhere. I have already laid in my supplies and warned anyone who isn't coming here to watch to not call or text message me or do anything til it's over! This is not including those friends I have throughout the country with whom I will be in IM contact during the race, of course. And my brother, who doesn't know how to use IM but will no doubt call to curse at some point.

I'm so happy it's racing season again. My tivo has been so bored with nothing to record all winter. Life is good.

I'm knee deep in pre race festivities- Tony is seriously charged up right now and I couldn't be happier.

I'm not a big Mark Martin fan, but certainly wouldn't begrudge him a win in his last year. He's always been a class act.

And best of all- the whole new series of commercials! Current favorite is the Gilette commercial with Ryan Newman and Dale Jr shaving each other's numbers in their hair.

havent seen that commercial yet but i'm so sure i will today many times... i also think jeremy mayfield is cute. that commercial about octane oil or whatever is so funny. and jimmy johnson, dale jarrett, ken schrader, jamie whats his name grrrr and bobby labonte.

Totally! I've been stocked up for several days.

Got cold beer, spicy Hickory Farms sausage, Pepperjack cheese, crackers and a good center isle seat. Just waiting for those words. Trackside has been pretty entertaining this morning. Taking Carl Edwards to win. Will beat Secretariat by a nose, lol, maybe not.
