This weekend, I'm still unsure. But I've been working way too hard the last few weeks so I need the break!

Nope. I've liberated myself and decided to quit studying for now.

I've never been to one. I'd need to be stupidly drunk before I even entertain the idea xD

Of course! Not as many as you guys have, but we've got more than a few.

Yes! It is a custom growing in popularity Down Under. A friend of mine throws a Halloween party every year actually.

Yes, tonight was a particularly warm day! We even got a thunderstorm to top it all off.

I have not. Sounds romantic though.

Do Australians have pie? What are common pies over there?

We have pie. Apple pies, peach pies, berry pies are most common. We also eat meat pies with tomato sauce. Thats one of our national favorites.

Do you guys eat Turkey, or is that an American thing?

Yes, we eat turkey too 😛 Mainly at Christmas time though.

When you have a big get-together, what's food is normally eaten?

We like to have bbq's. Lots of meat!

Stuff like...sausages, steak, bacon, eggs. Throw in some salads..potato, pasta and garden salads. We love seafood too, so we always have some prawns and crab meat at the ready with a seafood dipping sauce.

Did you find the Skittles commercials on You Tube?

Yes! Very entertaining.

Is the weather getting nice and warm down there?

Yep. It was the warmest spring on record for us!

Are people down there mowing their lawns yet?

Almost every weekend.

Have you ever ate pumpkin pie?

Never. The sound of it intrigues me though 🙂

Lol. We really do say it. Not all the time but quite often xD

Yep, we love it. Not so much the Nascar stuff, but we race V8s over here.

A dingo is a wild Australian dog. They live in the outback and are almost equivalent to a wolf overseas.

I'll end by asking; Was that terrible storm close by? If so, I hope you're ok.

That storm missed my state luckily, but I feel for the people it affected 🙁

I used to grow vegetables in the backyard.

God yes. There's been some scorchers here lately!

We awoke to see the news in Sydney, Australia was the top headline.

I understand that person who captured the people in the café had a long criminal history?

WHY YES!

Are you and your family okay?

We are fine. Not directly affected by the siege, but very shaken and disturbed by the events that unfolded. We watched the news coverage all day and night and were deeply saddened to hear lives other than the gunman's were lost 🙁

Is that Channel 7 TV station right across the street from the café?

Yep, directly behind it. They were the first to break the news and were heavily involved in the operation to come. Snipers used their offices and cameras to develop intel as the day progressed.

I understand that person who captured the people in the café had a long criminal history?

He did. He was well known as a self proclaimed muslim cleric with extremist views. At the time of the siege he was out on bail with charges of murder and sexual assault pending against him, our nation is truly at a loss as to why he was allowed to pose such a risk to the public.

Are you familiar with that part of the city?

I am. Whilst I live out in the suburbs, I have visited Martin Place many times and my father, brother and his partner also work very close to there. It will never be the same, we are crushed by this.

Have you ever ate pumpkin?

I have, I love to roast it with potato and onion alongside a nice roast chicken.
