Yeah. It's not easy. My friend says it's not for everyone. I'd rather know it's not really for me than to do it and regret it. And I always say marriage may be serious but everyone gets divorced no big deal but once you have kids...then it turns much more serious (as it should). You have to think of them not just your own happiness and run and get divorced right away.
 
Yes, I know a lot of people who were really messed up by their parents divorce. 🙁

Me too...seriously my favorite holiday. I just can't believe it's a little over a week away now.
 
I am seriously hoping that there is no discussion of politics at Thanksgiving. I don't want to argue with anybody, nor do I wish to remain silent when ignoramuses speak nonsense.
 
Fortunately, my family doesn't talk about such things. If they do Mils just turn the volume of the football game up.

Or go into another room, since the event takes place in a house three adjoining rooms with tables and food in all three.

About 30 people, and pretty much the same people every year. Each year, there may be a few people who have some emergency and can't attend.

Since November 2017. For the five years immediately preceding that, I went to Baltimore to spend Thanksgiving with my mother who was not healthy enough to travel.

Well sounds like you had one nice tradition lead to another nice one.
 
It was nicer when, many years ago, I only had to take a bus to New Jersey for Thanksgiving.
 
I hear you Mils but I'm sure once you get there you enjoy Thanksgiving very much. Sounds like the weather will be nice for Thanksgiving (although chilly) but rain Tuesday into early Wednesday then clearing.
 
Yes, my nightmare was a big storm on Thanksgiving Day (rain or snow) which would disrupt flights.
 
Looks like you'll be ok hopefully. Well you've got the luck of the Irish.
 
My favorite week of the year coming: Thanksgiving Week and a 2.5 day work week.
 
I don't like airports, but I will be happy when I arrive there.
