It is awful to lose a pet, especially before his time (as 7 is only middle-aged for a dog). You have my sympathy.
May your dog rest in peace.

Thanks Mils! My friend from Haiti says he's amazed by how in the USA we treat dogs better than people lol. It's true though but if you are a dog person and bond with one you realize their loyalty (and intelligence) is higher than many human beings. Plus great personality. When the time is right I am planning on getting another Boston Terrier most likely in the spring after I've had time to decompress from the last 28 months.

Yes, after a period of mourning has passed, you should get another dog. The decision is whether to get a puppy or to rescue an adult dog from a shelter.

I know. I've had 1 of each. Are you excited for your trip?

Yes, I haven't seen my friends in Massachusetts for six months. They have a dough machine and always make homemade pizza when I am there. :munch:

I think we might be buying pizza tonight...that's a rumor I heard.

We wound up having homemade pizza!
How is your trip going (when you get there I assume by the time you read this)?

Now things are back to normal here sort of. I can't use the icons with the bold button and stuff though.

Use the brackets [ ] to toggle between being able to use the B I TT icons and not being able to use them.
When you hover the cursor over the brackets [ ], it says "Toggle BB code."

You are welcome.
You can always either use the icons or just type in the codes that end with [/i] or [/b] or [/quote] or ...

Yes, I have come to like the new look. By now it is easy to post as I am used to posting. 😀

Yes, same here. Funny how we are all creatures of habit. But we're able to adapt pretty easily.

One thing I never was adaptable at was working from home during Covid. I stayed home 2 days in March of 2020 and then started going in when there was nobody in the building.

I was already retired when Covid came, but I don't think I would have liked teaching via Zoom at all.

My friend who's a teacher told me how much she hated teaching during covid (in person too). She had to keep her mask on all day because if she took it off the kids wouldn't take it seriously either...kind of like how it became at my work place...eventually wearing it on our ears and pulling it up and down for show when we walk by someone. Finally died out in the spring of 2022.

My ears hurt wearing the disposable masks so I took to wearing cloth masks which were gentler on the ears.
Of course, a cloth mask is totally useless for blocking virus particles. 😱

Yeah I know. I wore mine and would put my hand in front of my mouth/mask and I could feel my breath coming through lol.
This January weather Mils...we had too easy of a winter last year.

Yes, last winter was mild. We should have appreciated it when it happened.
