I agree 110%. I would NEVER request that something be censored. If we had proof that something illegal took place, that would be another matter entirely.

There are other countries that blame the U.S. for the miserable state they're in -- blame the World Bank for not loaning them money, etc. ... except they are unwilling to modernize, or establish stable governments or adopt the rule of law. Then they adopt militant attitudes toward the U.S. and other Western nations. Let's be absolutely clear about one thing. The U.S. economy still drives the world economy. We and our allies have interests to protect. If developing nations want to join the world economy, they are welcome! But that will mean major changes -- for them. Look at the massive changes Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. willingly underwent, and they are global economic leaders today. Middle Eastern countries will have to find their way out of corruption, tribalism and massive illiteracy if they want to find their way out of poverty. And it isn't clear they are ready to do that, even with our help. It may very well be that it will take another half-century of poverty before something happens for them. Or it may never happen. All I know for sure is this: It isn't MY fucking fault that the Middle Eastern culture missed the Rennaissance and the Enlightenment and are 300 years behind. That's for them to fix. We don't owe those governments squat. I do feel sorry for the people, though, even though 99.999 percent of them would slit my throat in a microsecond if they had half a chance.

Well we certainly are facist aren't we? Yes we should do to the middle east just what we did to Japan. Assimilate them! Yes its perfectly ok to kill off the samurai lifestyle and Buddihst religion and the rest of the Japanese culture because we can put a McDonald's in Tokyo and make an American corperation more money.

For those who don't know i am being VERY sarcastic. I hate the way America forces assimilation on other cultures. First we took the Native's land and forced them to be white. Now we want the rest of the world to be white, and we lure them in with the abolishment of poverty because our own countrymen are in poverty. ALOT OF THEM! I know, I grew up that way, and people with money just turn and look the other way. The poor here get almost zero help while we try to make money off of the rest of the world.

and BTW: circumcism is an inhumane practice that we force on our children because of the ancient practices of the fathers of Christianity. I miss my forskin.

If I was to speculate as to the background of wendynpeter, he is obviously from the US, probably never leaves the country or goes on holiday overseas, and has inherited values and beliefs that have been fed to him through his national media/government.

It really is a shame when you get people in the west who attempt to judge countries that they have never been to, their only connection are the media reports they have access to. :weird:
